The Knack frontman Doug Fieger survives surgery
Doug Fieger, frontman for 1970’s pop-rock band the Knack, had brain surgery on August 3 in Los Angeles. According to Reuters the surgery was “to remove two brain tumors.”
Fieger co-founded the Knack, a group that hit it big in the 1970’s with their catchy tune “My Sharona.” The band split in 1982 but recently reunited to record and tour again. In 2005 the band even appeared on the TV show “Hit Me Baby One More Time.” And according to Reuters, he should be around to make some more music. “Fieger's surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center expects him to make a full recovery. The spokesman declined to provide additional information on the health of Fieger, a 53-year-old Detroit native with a passion for the Beatles and automobiles.”

My first husband died from a malignant brain tumor 9 years ago. His birthday was just this past 8/2. My girls and I were in the city on his birthday and I stopped at St Pat's to light a candle for him. He would have been 55 years old.

2 very different subjects:
Love To Sing - I'm very sorry to hear that about your first husband The Knack - Very good debut album, then sadly fizzled, they came around at the wrong time. Good band! Prayers for Doug!
