Evolution And 2112

finally got to see evolution tonight. simply AWESOME!!!!! and 2112 are no slouches either. was speaking to one of the evolution guys and they said the singer has been interviewed by journey. steve augieri will not be returning to the band. stay tuned.

I honestly don't know how reliable that info is that Hugo has been interviewed by Journey to possibly replace Augeri regardless of who in the band said it.

I've been going to see Evolution for the last 4 years and feel I can say I know the guys well. I was fortuante enough to get to know them in the days when Eddie Jelly and Brother Joe were part of the band. The way that I heard the story from someone who's known Hugo for over a decade was that he was approached by the Journey team prior to Augeri.

Although I think Hugo is a dead ringer for Steve Perry, I personally don't feel his vocals aren't strong enough to cut it and his family situation won't give him the freedom for Evolution to play more than once or twice a month (which is unfortunate) let alone join a national act band and go on tour.

I LOVE this band though and evenh tho I'm not a Rush fan, 2112 really kicks some ass too!
