Gonna go see the Smithereens on Wednesday on the Blues Cruise.....or more appropriately the Booze Cruise.
Any fans? Or anyone taken this boat? 2 hours around lower manhattan waters and listen to a smokin' band.
1 of my friends did this and said it was good. Can't wait.
Sounds cool. 16th is my Birthday too. But unfortunately its a Wednesday. And I work right on the river and see these circle lines and other cruise boats all the time.
The Smithereens are pretty cool band. Pat DiNuzio is a well acomplished musician. I also think he is mayor of Teaneck New Jersey too isn't he?

8/16 is the 38th anniversary of my dad's death so it's always sad for me but life is short and I'm sure he'd want me to enjoy myself even if it's a work night so I'm going.
Didn't Elvis die on 8/16 too?
I've done those cruises but never with a band - should rock.

He was 53 when he went - friggin cigarettes. I was so young when it happened I barely knew him.
