Happy Birthday!!!

I know how difficult things are for you at this time, but you must hang in there for your mother's sake. I lost my dad, mom and husband within in a three year period. So I truly know what you are going through as we all do when we lose someone we love so much.

Your mom was obviously an outstanding person to you as well as those around her. Don't let your grief over her death outweigh the presence she had when she was alive. Think of all the great memories you have.

When my first husband died at 45 years old, his Rabbi said to his parents and myself, "What would be worse? To have had Rick for 45 years or to have never had him at all?" And he was right.

Some people never get the chance to be lucky enough to have the mother you had. Try and keep that in your mind, no matter how much this hurts you right now.

Try to enjoy your day and know that you are thought of fondly.

I can't say much to this Linda. Every day has been very bad for me. Today will be worse. There is no possible way I can get any enjoyment out of the day I was born, when the one who bore me into this world is gone.

The "family" here is much smaller than I was led to believe over these past years. Thank you to Gina who was the only person to sign the guestbook on my Mother's online obituary. And thank you to Philip for sending a card to my home. Although I still haven't been able to open any of the three cards I received from Philip, my (now deceased) Father, and another internet friend.

All I can do when I feel I have to speak about something is to blog on myspace. I knew I was going to be alone when my Mom was gone, and I have to face that fact every day I wake. :(

Tome - I know it's difficult times, but try your best to have as good as a birthday as you can. Your mother is by your side every day and I'm sure she'd want you to live - live for her. I completely understand your pain. The loss of my mom still shadows my heart every day. If I can help you in any way to deal with your loss, I will PM you my email and you can always contact me thru MS. And...I felt honored to sign your mother's guestbook for her on-line obituary - she sounded like a wonderful lady and wonderful people should be honored.

Happy Bday. My condolences and prayers are with you. I too had a hard time handling the loss of my Puggs. He was like a family member. I can only imagine what your going through. Hang in there dude!
