Diamond Dave is coming to Acadiana

David Lee Roth is scheduled to perform in the Mari Center at Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville at 9 p.m. Saturday, October 21.

David Lee Roth sometimes referred to as “Diamond Dave,” has a flamboyant, larger than life stage presence and a party-hearty surfer dude persona. Roth is also known for his acrobatic leaps, long mane of blond hair and skintight spandex outfits.

Roth rose to prominence in the 1970s Los Angeles rock scene as the lead singer of Van Halen. From 1979 to 1984, the band released a string of classic mega-selling albums: “Van Halen II,” “Women and Children First,” “Fair Warning,” “Diver Down” and “1984.” Van Halen achieved their greatest commercial success, including their first Billboard No. 1 single for the song “Jump” in 1984.

Tickets are $35 and may be purchased at Paragon Gifts or any Ticketmaster outlet.

IF it were one of his old tours, to support Eat Em and Smile, Skyscraper, etc. but not worth it for the country pickin' stuff....in my opinion....
I HOPE he's trying to put his name out there again for the ever so slight possibility of a VH reunion...???

Thanks for the info. I don't think I will waste my time or money especially if he is pushing that country stuff. Something doesn't seem right seeing him singing "there's a tear in my beer".

If it is his regular show, then I will definitely pay it and meet you there. If not, then I will just get drunk at home and throw all old Van Halen in the CD changer... LOL!!!

Seriously though, find out and let me know if it will be the bluegrass show or not. I will go.
