The whole thing is such a tragedy. I am sure he would never have used the pyrotechnics if he had a clue as to what was going to happen. It is something he'll have to live with for the rest of his life. That is truly sentence enough.

The guy truly showed remorse in the court room. I really felt bad for the guy. The guilt he's riddled with will indeed haunt him for the rest of his life.

Stupidity has a wide range of interpretation. Surely, the pyro guy and/or the manager had to see what was on that ceiling over the stage. There is a LOT of blame to be passed around: Management, the club(for having exits chained SHUT) and crew members for the band.

I feel for both sides. Watching the video from the trial you can see that the manager was truly remorseful. Families who read statements during court were annoyed that he wasn't looking directly at them or seeming to be affected. But when he addressed the court he broke down sobbing. What a senseless tragedy.

And I read today in USA Today that the families are pissed that he only got 4 years. I mean - it is tragic what happend and if he wasn't remorseful then I can understand their anger, but this poor guy was certainly remorseful. He certainly didn't intend to kill over 100 people - it wasn't out of malice - unfortunately a grave error in judgement.

the family(s) are grieving and they want thier loved one(s) back -
no amount of time wll give them that or any peace (if they think so
they are foolish) - i feel bad for all of them! :(
