he is VERY handsome!
everything was done through tubes /feeding/relieving himself both ways -
he fasted for 5 days b4 the gig so i assumed that helped a bit.
he's kinda my hero in a stupid ass way - damn he held his breath under water for over 7 minutes!
different things get different people off - and if your worried about
having that episode televised and children being influenced?
throw your tv out the window b/c there is a lot worse shit goin on on t.v.,
the news for instance!

I agree with ya sis....
While "surfing" and catching David Blaine, ABC had a promo for their "TV Movie" about the Avian Bird Flu.....how idiotic is THIS?
Let's panic and scare everyone so they have nightmares about a potential epidemic that they can do nothing about. Then let's dramatize it and make it alot worse than it actually is. Let's see how many kids are afraid to go out after catching that movie.....

I personally am a HUGE fan of David Blaine (and Criss Angel). I think they both have very different styles of illusions and street magic. Both are very influenced by Houdini which has prompted both of them to do some of the stunts they have done including David Blaine's last night.
This "stunt" was tame compared to Criss hanging his whole body on hooks in Times Square a few years ago! I was flipping back and forth between channels last nite to see how David was making out. I'm sorry he didn't beat the record.
And D-Man, I couldn't agree with you more about that avian bird flu movie. It just goes to show you that they have obviously run out of material to make decent movies - even or TV!

I'm all for magic tricks. In fact I had my kids, Sarah, 10, Patrick 6 sleeping over here's how the conversation went.
Sarah "I'm gonna watch this guy try to hold his breath and DIE on TV"!!!
Patrick "ooooh Daddy can I stay up
Dad: No its too late
Patrick "c'mon Daaaaaaaaaaaaaad, Sarah says he's gonna die on TV"!!!
Dad: "OK you guys can stay up"
to make a long story short,....end of show
both kids "awwwwww he didnt die"
Patrick "maybe next time"! :D
Same as the other idiot jumping a motor cycle over Balligio fountains or whatever it was.
Stupid stunts. Purely just for the entertainment factor. Guess its better then watching Barry Bonds hit number 714. But instead I watched the NETS kick SHAQ and the Miami heats ass!

I may be in the minority here, but I love David Blaine - I think he is a genius.

I happen to love David Blaine's magic as well...I even enjoy levitating in bars.
I also found it interesting that ABC ran a Criss Angel, A&E promo/commercial during the Blaine show last night.....
I worked in midtown Manhattan when he did that standing on a pole thing. Going to work I looked up at him. He looked pretty dumb just standing their doing nothing.
I'm not a big fan of magicians. Its all a slight of hand and mind. I'd rather watch Vince Carter dunk over SHAQ. Thats just me. I prefer athleticism over mysticism.
David Copperfield grew up not far from where I use to live. I use to buy suits from his Dad who owned the shoppe and was a tailor.

there is no magic in being submersed in water for 7-8 days
and he never claimed that it was.
and if you saw his hands when he came out you knew he wasnt taken

well im with you - dont look to me for sympathy b/c your insane!
BUT just so happens Houdini is one of his idols and this was a "stunt" Houdini
planned on doin but died b4 he got the chance!
and if you happened to watch the entire show (which i dont think you would have)
he sat in a tank w/ like 26 big ass sharks to help him regulate (slow down)
his heatbeat - i was more impressed by that than the whole 8 day in a water tank thing.

Sitting in a tank with 26 big ass sharks? Yeah, that would regulate my heartbeat in a heartbeat!
