Now get back across the border!!!

FRIDAY: 05, MAY 2006
THOSE BORN ON THIS DATE WERE BORN UNDER THE SIGN OF TAURUS

================================================== ==================

TODAY IS: CINO DE MAYO

*On May 5, 1862, the Mexican army defeated the French army at the Battle of Pueblo.

This single military battle signified defeat of a European colonial power
and a victory for the Mexican people. This single battle was the roots of Cinco de Mayo.
Note: Cinco de Mayo is not the celebration of Mexican Independence which
is celebrated on September 16th.

What Cinco de Mayo has come to be is much more than one battle in the colonial history of Mexico.

Rather, it has come to signify Hispanic and Mexican pride and a time to celebrate the rich culture.

Today, this holiday is celebrated by Mexicans, and especially the Hispanic community in the U.S. It is a time of song, dance, partying, and in general
a time to be proud to be of Hispanic descent.

DUMB LAWS STILL ON THE BOOKS: ENGLAND:

Committing suicide is classified as a capital crime.

THE GODFATER: “WHAT’S WITH THE ORANGES ??"

The first time we see TESSIO, he tosses himself an orange at Connie's wedding.
He later betrays Michael... Bye bye!

There's a fruit basket with oranges in front of Sandra as she gestures to others the size of her husband Sonny's manhood

There's a bowl of oranges in front of JACK Woltz. We know what happens to his horse

There are oranges around when Sollozzo enters the Don's office for the meeting. Dead man!

Right before he was shot, Don Corleone bought 2 oranges! ... an omen!

And as he topples to the street, the Don upsets a basket of oranges into the street!

When sitting with his father after he returns home from the hospital, Fredo sits next to a fruit basket of oranges.

At the commission meeting of the Five Families, bowls of oranges are placed
in front of the Don, Philip Tattaglia and Barzini. Ciao!

What does Don Vito have in his mouth moments before he dies? Yup!

Not fruit, but... Carlo gets his ass whipped by Sonny, while wearing an orange suit.

Not fruit, but... Kay wears an orange coat when she comes looking for Michael at the compound.

Not fruit, but... Michael's tie when he talks with Moe green? orange!

Not fruit, but... More orange clothing: Masseuse's pants, Woman behind Barzini fall on steps,

Assassin's shirt at revolving door...!
