Back from the hospital boys and girls.....
On Wednesday I had the surgery done on my right foot - finally!
They took care of the pain for me at last on the 2nd day. After 3
attempts of different drugs, the right thing was found. I had one
of those pumps with pain med and a button to press to give it to
myself. (HAPPY JUICE) :)

Anyway, I am home now with a bright red cast on my leg. I can't
get around much yet. I can go small distances using a walker and
hopping on one foot. I have a wheelchair for longer distances.
I am in the wheelchair as we speak using the computer.

Many thanks to my bestest Zebra friends for spending time with me
while I was in the hosptial. H2H and Zebraette, I love you girls....
You really brightened up my days. You two are the best!!!
Special thanks to my Sweetie, Macca, too.

Now I stay home recuperating....I can't wait to be on the go again.
Staying at home not being able to get around is no vacation!
I actually can't wait to go back to work....

Dearest Ziggy....so glad to hear you are home and recouping. Sorry I did not get to see you Friday or Saturday. It was crazy for me. I will be swinging by the condo after work today to check up on ya. Did they let you take Mr. Happy home witcha? :D Probably not. DAMN! Thanks everyone!
It's good to be home, even though I'm not mobile yet.
My 3 nephews (they're 6, 8, & 10 yrs. old) just left.
They really brightened up my day and were the first people
to sign my bright red cast....

Monday May 8th - I see the doc again. He'll remove the cast
and the stitches then.

Carl, I think I'll be in the boot again for a while after the cast is
removed, but hopefully will be able to wear a real shoe again
sometime in the near future!

Unfortunately, unless I heal up miraculously by May 13th, I will NOT
be able to go to the Rock-N-Bowl show :( . There's only one way
up to Rock-N-Bowl - up that steep flight of stairs! I wish I could
make it. I originally scheduled my surgery date around ZEBRA/Randy
show dates, so that I would not miss any of them - and they snuck
in this Rock-N-Bowl date on me!!!

Unless they opened it again(the restaurant next door pitched a bitch(claiming he was costing them business) and made him close it down), they'll be crammed in like sardines upstairs!

When the owner was forced to close it, he gave the place
a New Orleans jazz funeral!!!

This friggin' cast is scheduled to come off my leg tomorrow.
The stitches along each side of my foot will be removed also.
I can't wait! (Can't wait to scratch my leg & have this heavy
cumbersome cast gone) It's the 1st time I've ever had a cast
& it's kind of claustrophobic....

I hope to be able to put some weight on this foot and be
able to get around some - I'm soooo....tired of being cooped up!!!

Still trying to figure out a way to get me up the stairs on
Saturday for the Rock-N-Bowl show!!!

The Good News - the cast was removed yesterday afternoon and the
stitches were taken out...... (& everything looked o.k.)

The Bad News - they put another cast right back on! I've got to keep
this one on for 2 more weeks...... DAMN!!!! Thought I'd be out of
this thing and be more mobile by now......

glad your recovering well, sorry about the second cast, i know what u mean about claustrofobic, i had one on my nose after the nose job and i was freaking out!!!!!!! no one understood when i said it was claustrofobic!!!!!i hope i never break anything and need a real cast on a limb!

Was detemined to go to Saturday night's show at the Rock-N-Bowl...

The big obstacle was getting up their steep flight of stairs - the only
way up - this place was built in 1933 and is not handicapped equipped...

Someone suggested going up the stairs on my butt - so that's what
I did! It worked. I went up about 3 steps and rested, did 3 more steps
and rested... Probably took me 15 minutes to make it to the top....
People commented that I must be a real die-hard fan....
What do you think !!!??? Came down the same way, just in reverse.

Thanks to all my friends who helped protect me from being bumped
into, stepped on, etc. and for assisting me to the restroom. Thanks
to my sweetie, Macca, for taking me there. He didn't think I should
go, only because he didn't want my foot to be hurt. But he made it
possible for me to go..... Love ya Baby!

It was just what I needed for an emotional boost! Being confined to
home for all these weeks, is just NOT fun. Seeing all my ZEBRA friends
was worth the trip in itself......

I actually went to a store today!!! Went to Sam's Club with the help of Macca... Just got on one of those electirc scooter things and rode
all through the store - it was fun! Guess I'm easily amused these days
after being cooped up for so long.....

Something to look forward to - Macca & I got our tickets today
for Sammy Hagar at House of Blues next month....! :D
