i think its bullsh!"*
took 'em 5 yrs to start and they dont even have prospective tenants?
whatever - i've lived in NY all my life and visited and enjoyed
the twin towers as a local would - i am upset, frustrated and very angry
they are not replacing the towers as they were - to me its a disgrace.
(i apologize for my rant but this subject hits close to home for me)

me and Greg feel the same way, the towers should go up as it. "freedom tower" is a target terrorist spot, its like taunting them to dare and do it again. its pisses me off

I agree. I believe that they should build two more twin towers with the same exterior appearance. Except make the internals a little more terrorist proof and make them 20 stories taller than they were. Really shove it in their face saying that they can't keep us down. I just wanted to see what the NY'ers thought!
Prospective Tenants? I wouldn't work there again for $5,000,000 a year! Sacred ground as far as I'm concerned. They are always concerned about building on sacred Indian burial grounds. What about 3,000 american citizen's gravesite?

well i would never have worked in the original twin towers for any price,
unless i was on the first floor. (and even than it would have to have been a heavy salary)
unfortunately their bodies are not there (as in an indian burial ground)
they became particles of the air and because of that the best way to remember them is to rebuild the same towers and dedicate the 1st 50 flrs
to them (or however many they need). this way they are remembered but they can rest in PRIDE.
to let them (the terrorists) destroy lives, families
hopes and dreams by building something else is saying to
me you are forgotton and the terrorists won!
thats my opinion - thats how this freedom tower shit makes me feel.
its ok if you dont agree.

they are actually being ver respectiful of that, they can't walk on any of the "sacred ground" at the footprint. they have it marked in stones and they have to be very careful not to step on it, or cross over it. because of respect of the familes.
