ROGER WATERS WILL PERFORM "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" IN CONCERT
NEW YORK (AP) -- You can't get all of Pink Floyd in concert this summer, but you can get all of "Dark Side of the Moon." Roger Waters will perform the album in its entirety during his North American tour. He'll do two sets, with the first one being an overview of his music, and the second being "Dark Side of the Moon" from start to finish. The last time he performed the album live in the U-S, he was still in Pink Floyd and it was more than 30 years ago. Waters' tour will kick off September sixth in Holmdel, New Jersey.

Well, at one point I had interest in seeing this show, but now with this announcement, I will be spending my money elsewhere....he sang 2 songs on that album (1 song technically divided into 2 parts..Brain Damage/Eclipse) while David Gilmour sang the rest...sorry, DG is irreplacable in the vocal dept with respect to this album...oh well, maybe next time....if you go, have a good time....
Btw, his ticket prices are ridiculous...here is the info as per Jones Beach's website....

Agreed malja to me GILMOUR is Floyd. Roger keeps trying to dig up "The Wall" cause basically his work after Floyd (to quote Cartman from South Park) is weeeeeeeeeak. In my opinion.
I'd LOVE to see Floyd together but Roger can't and shouldnt sing the Gilmour parts...
OK I'm done with the soapbox malja, want it back??
Seems like all shows are expensiver anymore. At least Waters puts on a show for the money.

I thought Rogers 1st solo album was good, I thought Radio Kaos definitely had some good moments on there, but I wasnt all that crazy about Amused to Death. The Wall is Roger's pride and joy, I have no problem with him performing that album live. If he would have sang more on DSOTM, I would have no problem performing that album live...and yes, I do know his writing credits are all over that album. However, he sang one song divided into 2 parts on that album and with the exception of "great gig" and "on the run" Gilmour sang the rest. So my question is...why perform TDSOTM live? At least in 1994 on the Division Bell tour, it made sense for Floyd at that time to perform the album live.....
Radio Kaos was definitely his best solo.
Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking wasnt bad.
I seen him tour both.
Amused to death wasn't a bad CD.

About Roger's solo stuff, it's no worse than the stuff Pink Floyd produced after he left. That being said, Momentary Lapse and Division Bell both were mediocre to the nth power. When the four Floyders ceased to function as a band, both Roger's end and the other went downhill. Each side created some nice music afterwards, but was mostly bull.
Well, I'm personally excited to see Roger tour DSOTM. Some songs on it he can pull off; the others he's gonna have Dave Kilminster (a capable singer) do. Besides, the show is comprised of two sets plus encores; the first set is going to be greatest hits, ie: The Wall, Animals, Wish You Were Here, some early Floyd, some solo material, and the second set will be all of DSOTM. So even if you're not thrilled about Waters doing Dark Side, you've still got an entire set of Roger doing what he does best (and his "In The Flesh" DVDs taught us just how long his sets are). Plus, Snowy White's on guitar; who doesn't love Snowy White?
