The Majestic
I love Jim Carey in this movie. I think he is very underestimated as a serious actor. I can only take him in small doses when he is doing his schtick, but when he is serious, I think he's Academy award winning caliber! My daughter and I just watched "Liar Liar" and it reminded me of his performance in "The Majestic".

And you should hear me do the whole dialog when Jack and Grady were in the bathroom.
One of the best and most underrated scenes ever in a movie.

Grady is one of the best back ground villians ever.
He even set up Scatman Cruthers to fly from Miami to Colorado and take a very long snow cat trip up to the mountains, only to be met by an ax when he walked in the door.

Have you ever read the book? (the shining) - it's 1,000x better than the movie! there are a couple of differences, mainly there are topiary animals instead of the maze, also it explains alot about the different characters and the ending is completely different too.

I read the Shining when it first came out. Yes it was quite different from the movie but if I quoted book lines on the board it just wouldnt work as well.
I watched the tv edited version on A&E yesterday. I really love how they try to dub over the offensive language, in particular the bathroom scene where Grady told Jack that his son was attempting to bring in a "No good cook"
Surviving through the commercials was a challenge.
