Maybe this should belong in "polls" ??? But what is everyone's favorite (non Randy) guitar solo of all time
I'd have to say the ending to Pink Floyd "Have a cigar' :)

My #1 is Little Martha from the Allman Bros.
#2 is Whale & Wasp by Alice in Chains,
#3 is Lynyrd Skynyrd's Freebird ending w/ a close runnerup for the Outlaw's Green Grass and High Tides ending.
(if they all count as guitar solo's that is)

Although there are so many great solos to choose from, my all-time favorite has to be Eddie Van Halen's "Eruption". It is what got me to pick up a guitar!

I like the solo in the song hotel california, and the solo in edge of sundown from the danny joe brown band.
Funny you should mention that because when I saw the thread, I thought about it for a second and Joe Walsh came to mind. But I was thionking about back in Funk 49 days with the James Gang.
