I only caught one song, "One" with U2 and Mary J Blige. My kids were watching it. Did anyone see it? Will it be rebroadcast?
And did Sly do anything crazy? I saw a picture of him with a mohawk...Thanks!

The grammy's were horrible as usual !! the only good part was Paul McCartney kickin ass on Helter Skelter ..they shouldve ended the show after that ...but we had to sit thru 2 more brutal hours of boring crap.... the sly and the family stone jam was a complete train wreck

Those were actually the only two acts I saw. Sly looked like he was wasted out of his mind as usual....no surprise there.
Paul McCartney. What can I say? He is incredible. I thought Helter Skelter sounded incredible and was impressed that Paul can still hit the high note in the opening verse! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

I haven't seen the Grammys since Christopher Cross's "Sailing" beat out Pink Floyd's "The Wall" for Best Rock Album.
I have better things to do.... like shaving my head with a chees grater while chewing on tin foil.

greg said its all crap, i watched until kelly clarkson won, then i agreed with him, she looked like she ran over to gwen and apoligized to her. paul mccartney was great though. last year my company ran a contest that gave tickets to the grammys, i would have loved to have gone.

I watched McCartney and the final award ceremony for album of the year. Macca was a longshot, but just wanted to see if he could fake 'em all out....

he was really great, but somethin about concerts are now bugging greg. he never minded paying top dollar, but after he fun out i paid 1200.00 for paul mccartney, he changed. he says he loved it and it was worth it. but i think the reality of it hit him. i would have paid it again. to see certain people, and thats his ultimate show. the first time we saw him our backs were agaings the wall, he said "i wait 35 years to see this man, and this is where i sit?" it was heartbreaking. i dont regret for a minute paying that, but it really is out of hand. we were fourtunate to be able to, but its sad for people that cant afford it.

Let's get back to the "Sly incident".
They literally picked him up off the streets the week prior, polished him up and brought him to the rehearsal. He didn't even practice with a great house band.....He then wandered out on stage in the middle of "Dance To The Music" (a one chord song) and had no clue how to play the solo.
Steven Tyler had to do his best to fill and was th eonly one that remembered
the "boom shaka laka's" as the entire ensemble was lost.
Suddenly Sly (and their is speculation as to whether he was so lost and thought the song was over, was totally frustrated at his own inability to play
((I also noticed his right hand was bandaged)) or was just so pissed off)
walked off the stage while evrything was still going on.
He's probably back on the streets and will likely be a "casualty" in th enot too distant future. Wrote some GREAT songs though!
That's about all I saw and cared to.....
