(1972): Paul McCartney’s new group,Wings, made its first public appearance.
Nottingham University was Wings' first stop on its Britain Tour.
The group arrived unannounced asking social secretaries if they would like them to perform that evening.


Editors note....Ya mean Paul was in a band before his solo career?!?

my cousin (who lives and worksin east hampton) was working at a resturant out there and paul mccartney came in, she said he was very nice. she called and told greg, he flipped. we had to have lunch there the week after, she sat us in the same booth, and greg ordered the same thing he had, grilled cheese!
