Way Too Early Roll Call: ANTHRAX @ NYC's Nokia Theatre Sat 1/7/06

I know this is a super longshot on here but is anyone else going to this? I cannot wait for this show! This is gonna be my first time seeing Anthrax with Joey Belladonna back on vocals! I am going extra CRAZY this not as this lineup is one of my favorite bands. So if you are going, post here.....

I can share a story with you about Joey though....

Back in the 80's there was a rock club in New ROchelle (I can't even remember the name of it!) It was a dive and a little hole in the wall - had some decent bands play though.

One night my ex-husband and I were there - I think his band may have played and Joey was hanging out in the club. My ex wanted to meet him, so we went over and talked to him for a while. I didn't have really anything to say (and for ME that's unusual!) but my ex was talking with him for a while - he seemed like a nice guy!

Ok, now that I've bored the crap out of you....have fun at the show!

Not a boring story at all, in fact, I welcome all kinds of stories...Its no surprise that Joey was seen at a club in that area because I think for the most part, the entire band lives in that area now and I think Joey was from upstate NY at the time he joined the band...he probably lives in Florida now as I heard he moved there sometime in the 90's after he was fired from Anthrax...

I always heard that Anthrax was very good to their fans as far as autographs and all that, so that is great to hear that Joey was nice to the both of you...

I cant wait to see this show, I missed out on seeing this Anthrax lineup in the 80's, I only got to see them in the 90's and 00's with John Bush on vocals. It will be nice to see the "mark 2" lineup and hear the tunes that were not covered during the "Bush" era...

As long as I can get a Zebra gig on a Saturday, that is no problem at all...unfortunately the last time Zebra played NY on a Saturday, it was my anniversary! Figures!!!!!!! Maybe my luck changes this year, we shall see...
