My daughters and I just came home from seeing "Rent". It was great! A tearjerker, but great. We loved the music which they have performed in some of the community theater we've done. They really were not aware of the subject matter of the show. I then came home to their report cards and both of them made the honor roll!!! I'd say it was a good day!

lynn is out seeing it now - glad your giving it a great review
as far as your girls making honor roll,
congrats to them and you - a child needs the proper supervision/guidance
from a concerned/involved parent.
it was a good day for all of you! :D

I've been lucky. All my children are pretty smart and do well in school. My middle child usually gets off to a slow start and since this is her first year in High School, I was very proud and extremely impressed that she did so well. She was surprised to make honor roll.

Most people are always disppointed in the movie if they've seen the stage production. I didn't see "Rent" on Broadway. I thought the movie was great. I did see "Chicago" on Broadway and I loved it and I loved the movie as well. AND I couldn't imagine Richard Gere in that show, he is one of my favorite actors, and I was very surprised at how good he was.

I've seen Adam Pascal (Roger in Rent) twice on Broadway in "Aida" (also a fantastic show). I think he is great! He looks good on stage AND screen!! I am definitely a musical theater person. Definitely chose the wrong profession........oh wait a minute, I don't have a profession, just a job!!!! :(
