You put me on the Jewish guilt trip,(usually reserved for Jewish mothers over 60 years of age),quite well last week.
All that talk about singing church ladies and Christmas lights being strung and Victoria's Secret nightgowns and it just brought a tear to my eye. So I took my repenting butt to church today and I told my daughter April, Ira has laid down the law and we must get back to church. She used to sing in the choir with me too. Well we missed the rehearsal this week, so we just sat among the other parisheners this morning and sang along. After mass we made our way to the choir section and I was chastised for not joining the choir for mass today. The choir director told me she needed me today as they were missing sopranos. Far be it for me to be less than honest, I told her they did sound a little week. I was shocked when she called me a bitch. Huh! and her husband is a Deacon!!

PS
I will be at choir practice this Wednesday!! And I owe it all to the Doorman!!!
They really must keep Jews out of the Catholic church!!! Shalom Aleychem!!!

In reading the topic, that I was an inspiration and noting the time that you posted, I was quite surprised that CHURCH was what you had in mind.
Too Funny! But you know me...always willing to be any inspiration that I can be.
I'm so curious to see what it's like to receive the host...just can't do it though. Need some water on my head first however...(Don't go there!)

First of all let me say that I was busy today. Doing laundry, peeling potatoes, chit chatting with a friend from Jersey, and I had some extra energy so I decided to rearrange the furniture in my den. Now, if RT hadn't changed the color of the time just for YOU, you might not have noticed that. Trust me, the sky will not fall in if you receive Communion. As for the taste, it could use a litttle salt. And as for water on your head I would LOVE to Baptize you~~~. Sorry, I just HAD to go there!!!!

I'm reminded of the commercial for Tag body spray, when the woman is in the bathroom washing someone in the tub saying "Ooo your such a dirty little man, we need to get you squeeky clean, how old are you again"?

Are ya catchin' the time now DM? I am getting ready for church. First Sunday of Advent. Only problem is I have a sore throat, so I don't know if I'll be hitting any high notes this morning!! :(

All I can say is that whenever I sing in the church choir, we get applause at the end of mass. Quite honestly, I have never seen that in any other church!
