Finally..........someone who knows football. Benson, do us ALL a favor, sell the team, don't try and move it. You don't know jacksh!t about football, just how to make you money. And when people make smart decisions, you fire them because it doesn't go with your scheme, and that is to find a way out of New Orleans. You fired Mueller for bringing in talent and going against your word. You fired Feilkow because he got 4 home games at LSU, when all along, you wanted to kiss San Antonio's Mayors ass. This is going to hit the news, real soon folks.
Bradshaw will get other sponsors to buy the team and keep them here. Benson will fight this tooth and nail because he made a promise to San Antonio already. This would have been a done deal had Katrina not come. The Saints would have been out of here in two years. What we need to do (as fans) is to start a partition, and have all fans write in to Times Picayunne and sign their name. Then Benson may get the idea of what the "REAL FANS" want. They want the team, they want the name, just leave before you do something really stupid.

I seriously doubt that Benson will allow this to happen. He wants his granddaughter to get this team. I hope Bradshaw can talk him into selling though. I think Terry would be a great owner!
Who would know the players business better then a former quarterback in the hall of fame?

well seeing as the saints are realative newcomers to the nfl(i know that the saints got into the nfl in 1972 or so, but remember the browns were in the nfl from the beggining and in the afl before that) it should come as no surprise when an owner does not get his/her way they just up and leave. bob irsay in 1982 or 1981 just up and moved the baltimore colts in the middle of the night to indy, the browns in 1996, the cardinals from st. louis to phoenix, the rams from l.a. to st. louis, the oilers in houston to tennesee(titans) and the raiders from oakland to l.a. back to oakland. and remember the rams originally started out in cleveland back in the 1940's. we were also the first team in the nfl with insignias wit the rams. bet you didn't know that one. as much as i dislike terry bradshaw i hope he gets everything he needs to keep the aints right where they belong.

Hmmm.....lets see.....: Been in the league since 1967(the Falcons in '66), until this year we had the MOST Super Bowls. The league LOVES coming down here, BUT........money talks folks. You and I both know once the smoke clears, its business as usual. The NFL puts up a nice front, but if they had their way, the only cities having NFL franchises would be those in the major markets.
Our only hope is to kick out a$$hole Benson, his tunnel-visioned granddaughter(lets face it, that jacka$$ groomed her) and anybody associated with them. Yep, and that includes ANY business dealings he has in this region. That bastard is a cancer and anything he touches just dies. The only way the franchise will stay here and survive is if he's out....PLAIN AND simple.

sorry, i thought it was 1972. if that was the case about the major markets then why is there no NFL in l.a.? are they not no.1 or no.2 as far as major markets are concerned? i understand what you are saying though. its cool to have the big game in the big easy but we don't want you to have a team. kind of a slap in the face. benson ****s and his grandaughter swallows!! :D

L.A. is either #1 or #2(depending on which poll or chart you see), but honestly....with all that area has going on, the people couldn't give a rat's a$$ about having a team *again*. The NFL is hell-bent on putting a team back in the "big market". Usually, what the NFL wants, they get. Earlier this week, they signed papers with the Colliseum paving the way to have a team come in.....probably an existing franchise, not an expansion one. Soooooo, whatever city doesn't ki$$ the owners a$$ to give them what they want, they'll just bolt to so called *greener pastures*.
Anybody who has visited NOLA knows why the league wanted to put the city in a rotation with Miami and one other city for the Super Bowl(the other one escapes me right now) ----- everything is so close and accessible.....most within walking distance. Unlike other cities where you NEED a car to drive for hours to go from point to point. Now....whomever builds a new stadium is virtually guaranteed to host the Super Bowl and windfall of between $300 - $500 million in revenue for the week. Don't know about you, but I don't like being stuck in ungodly traffic or worse...up to your a$$ in snow(remember the one at the Silverdome?). But again, ***** that....just let that cash register ring.....and ring......and ring.

Funny you should say that. Working in the doctor's office, one of the things that always surprises me is that most mom's cannot remember their children's birthdays.

my daughters is on mine, can't forget that, and my son was on my wedding anniversay with my first hubby,
Mine are easy to remember too. Conor is 3/28/88, Jessica is 3/31/91 and April is 1/4/94. Funny thing is I was late giving birth to each of them. So after having done this twice the doctor asked me what day I'd like to have April. It was 1/3/94 (April was already 9 days late and I wasn't getting the tax deduction for 1993 as I'd thought) and I said, "tomorrow looks like a good day to me". I figured they'd all be easy to remember at that point, with the 8's for my son, the 1's for my daughter and the 4's for the latest addition.
You don't know how many times a mom will be on the phone with me and when I ask for the child's birthdate she says,"hold on, Timmy, when's your birthday?" That always amaze me.
I really don't know how anyone can forget the day or day's that you were in so much pain trying to push an 8 lb human being through a 1 lb hole!!!

Now THATS funny!!!! I don't have too many people who don't know their social security #'s. However, I love when I get the foreigner with NO SS # at all, seeking a doctors appointment and oh by the way they have no medical insurance! So they're gonna be booked in our free clinic! Which is the main reason I'm working in this office in the first place, for medical benefits!!!!
