Well it all depends....you see, there are places to play on Long Island...some examples are: Club Voltage in Levittown, The Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale, The Viper Bar in Hauppauge and maybe 1,2 more...the question is, will a promotor step up and pay the bands so we can get more national acts on Long Island like we had with the Downtown???

If you are into heavier bands, right now is a TOUGH time to be a fan on Long Island, seems like most of the punk/metal/HC bands are playing the city now and there are some shows booked for Voltage in Levittown.

But as far as the hard rock scene on LI? Well, its time for the promotors of the Crazy Donkey and Voltage and wherever else to STEP UP and book Zebra and all the tribute acts who draw a good crowd....

I am hoping we have a RELIABLE place real soon where all types of rock and metal bands can play like we once had with the Downtown...but now that insurance premiums are going up, this could be a tough task to accomplish....

We shall see, as of right now, Club Voltage in Levittown and Crazy Donkey have been booking national acts so hopefully this continues!!!

The Donkey is a great place but I just don't know if ZEBRA would ever play there because of the association with certain people from the Village Pub and the Viper Bar is something else now - I;m not sure if they are even doing the rockband thing - not that they did much when it was the Viper Bar anyway.

I've never heard of this place in Levvittown. But, yes it is a question of $, liability etc. for these club owners. I'm telling you if I had the $....! :D

If you like the Donkey, you will like Voltage, its pretty much the same layout...

That really ****S that Zebra may not play at either Voltage, Donkey or Viper, I believe the promotors that work these venues are all the same people who book shows at all 3 places (well the donkey and voltage) so if there were any issues with Zebra in the past with these folks, I can see why they wont play these venues...

Hopefully that is not the case, otherwise I am sure Zebra will have to find somewhere else to play on LI, but that could be tough because they would need a place that holds a few hundred people easy....and with no Downtown around, that could be tough! I guess we shall see what happens.........
