My name is Martine....thought some Crue fans out there might appreciate hearing an experience I had meeting Vince Neil on Aug. 17, 2005 at the Borgata casino in A.C. New Jersey. My husband & I spent $800 for the "ultimate experience" as they put it as part of their Platinum Package to meet the entire band. Nikki, Tommy, and Mick were pretty nice guys. Vince, however,.. couldn't have cared less. He was drinking the entire time, avoided all the fans and stood to the side anticipating its end. I went up to him when it was my turn, gave him a kiss on the cheek and said, "smile...I love ya." He replied with.."what, 'cause I wasn't smiling the moment you were looking??!!"....then proceeded to say, "Get the ?"!@#$ out of here!!" and left the room, leaving another 8 or so fans without the so called "opportunity" to meet him, after they spent $400 a pop as well. NICE GUY, HA?? After following a band for nearly 17 years, that's a real let down!

he's human and can have a bad day despite being in the business. You have no idea what was going on prior to meeting or seeing him.
Bad people don't have daughters who die of a rare disease and then start a charitable organization to help the cause, do events and fundraising etc.

I know its human to have a bad day....BUT....they know the itenerary and what is expected. If they can't deliver, just CANCEL and REFUND the damn money.
I'm not into this big buck bribe of meeting artists. Just curious...is it in the contract that ALL members must be present? If it isn't, Vince should just stay away when he's "had a bad day", or doesn't want to be bothered. He's a professional and should act as such.
These over-paid primma donnas better understand that the fans keep their "boat" above water. Without us, they're sunk.

Just because I have a bad day does not give me the right to be rude to one of my customers.
I have to find a way to at least be cordial and politely excuse myself from the situation....then I can go have all the bad days I want.

Yep - even if you despise it, you gotta **** it up. After all the fans are what made you where you are today - without them he'd be Vince Wharton

Heh, just think, those guys are really Tommy Bass, Bob Deal (Mick) and Frank Ferano (Nikki). Man, do stage names make a difference sometimes. Maybe it wouldn't make or break them having the careers they achieved, but would it be the same hearing people scream at a Guns N Roses concert (well, when they had them) for Bill Bailey or Saul Hudson instead of Axl or Slash?
As for his actions after the show, I think of it this way. He seems like a likeable person from what I've seen of him. Granted, that's not the same as in person, but, well, ya know. As for having a bad day or not, and how you handle it when you're a celebrity, he's been doing it for 20+ years. Like any other job, it gets to be part of your day. The stage, the limos, the hotels, room service, after show parties/meet n greets, whatever. Yeah, the fans make him who/what he is, but he's still just a guy, even if he's a guy with a lifestyle and career many people can only dream of and never achieve. I have a condition that had me dealing with doctors and sugeons for quite awhile. It taught me alot about their dealings and how even though they're doctors, a very well respected profession, we as people seeking their help forget they're people too sometimes. Surgery is a serious situation, but they are people, co-workers, people, working together through their workday, just like us. They talk about things, joke, make fun, interact, like anyone else...all while you're lying on a table being asked to count backward from 10. I woke up to a radio blasting the Stones, just like we do when we're driving or sitting at our desks or whatever. Did I find any of it disrespectful or unprofessional? Nah, they're just people too, doing what people do at their job. Sometimes for the better, some for the worse. We all try, but sometimes, no matter who you are, a bad day is a bad day. Either that, or maybe he really is just a ****. Oh well. :D

I heard on VH1 Tawny Kitain say that Tommy Lee could steer a boat with "no hands" (Maybe that's why Vince Neil was so miserable) - If what she said is true, where do I sign up for sailing lessons?

If you saw the infamous tape, Tommy better pray he drums until he dies....someone with that much hardware should learn how to use it.

I know the feeling, I had a similar experience after following a band I liked for 30 years only to get kicked in the head seeing how they took their alot of their fans for granted. After what you went through , they aren't worth your time and money! You deserve respect as a fan.

Motley Crue's Neil Breaks Leg at Concert
Sun Sep 18, 9:15 AM
ATLANTA - Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil broke his leg performing at a concert Friday night. The band was about five songs into the concert at downtown Atlanta's Philips Arena when Neil leaned over to sing along with the audience and slipped off stage, said Atlanta Police Department spokeswoman Sylvia Abernathy.
He was treated at Piedmont Hospital and released Saturday, hospital spokeswoman Diana Lewis said.
Police also responded to an unrelated incident involving a man who injured himself after jumping from the fourth floor of the arena into the audience. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

<Police also responded to an unrelated incident involving a man who injured himself after jumping from the fourth floor of the arena into the audience.> ~ ~ Everyone wants to act like a rock star....lol
Not a broken leag...just a partial tear of the calf muscle.
Everyone was pretty cool about it that night. One guy threw a bottle. Always one in the group. They will reschedule.
Hard to do a show without your lead singer....even if it is Vince Neil.

Maybe if he's dedicated enough, he can pull an "Ian Anderson"(Jethro Tull) and do shows in a wheelchair. Ian tore up his knee a few years ago(by landing wrong) and that didn't stop him from touring.
