Got our Alice Cooper tickets today !!! I can't wait, being an old
Alice fan from way back. My first Alice concert was at City Park
Stadium in 1975 (Welcome To My Nightmare). Macca & I are
going, along with my cousin Suzie (who I attended the '75 show
with, 30 years ago.)

(of course if I'm feeling old, how must Alice feel? Doesn't he feel
a little stupid singing "I'm eighteen and I don't know what I want")

buddy thats steep but that is so worth it!
I was going to say too bad i'm in New York! :(
GREATGREAT show!
I paid 75 i think and the seats were pretty darn good,
but if i paid 125 I wouldnt have been disappointed!
(and it takes a lot to get me out of the house to begin with)

Sorry, but paying that kind of money for a club show is outrageous. I wonder if the steepness in price is because that's the first show there.......

If you have an opportunity to speak with Damon Johnson (guitarist in Alice's band - and lead guitarist/singer from Brother Cane - and one of the nicest and most modest guys in the biz), tell him Don in Dallas said "hello"...he would be surprised!

I have seen Velvet Revolver and I have to say that it was a GREAT show, however there is no way in Hell that I would pay $125 for it.

And on the current tour to happen next week Alice Cooper and Cheap Trick are sharing the bill.

And yes, Velvet revolver is a good show. But not for $125 to see Scott Weilands skinny little ass exercise on stage.

Yep....and seeing them seperately at Hard Rock would be LESS than their ticket together....GO FIGURE! Really a shame Cooper had to join the a$$hole society of paying megabucks to get seats for row 20 in......

Ah its just money!
its all about your time- you cant buy more of it,

Not sure about AC, but DJ is pretty accessible. He certainly does not mind mingling with the fans. Check out the following:

From melodicrock.com:

LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE TWICE:
The top story in most parts of the world today is the destruction left behind by Hurricane Katrina. My best wishes go to everyone in the affected areas - there are a lot of good people without home and comfort and sadly a number of dead also.
There is a big musical community in that region also, so thoughts go out to those folk. One particular person affected in all this mess is Gregg Giuffria.
In an unbelievable twist of fate, Gregg's current pet project - the Biloxi Hard Rock Casino - which was set to open officially next week, was flattened by the hurricane. This after Gregg's studio was destroyed by fire a year or so back.
The $235 million resort was scheduled to open sometime before Sept 8 and the press was given a sneak peak last Friday.
I spoke to Gregg briefly this afternoon. He is understandably upset and cursing his "luck". But he was quick to add that he is more concerned about the people in the area and the widespread damage caused. Gregg says they will rebuild and put it back together, although the memorabilia is lost forever.
Gregg told fans reading this to log onto www.wlbt.com and click on the link to video from Sky Chopper 3 - which tours the devastated area. About 10 to 15 minutes in to the 20 minute segment, the helicopter flies over the Hard Rock resort.
CNN headline news at: edition.cnn.com/2005/WEATHER/08/30/katrina/index.html.

Here is a press release for the resort, which in hindsight is now completely void. But it does highlight how much work that went into the project.
BILOXI -- Mississippi Blues master B.B. King and the king of rock n' roll, Jimmy Buffett and Jimi Hendrix, Three Doors Down and The Doors, all have a little piece of themselves at the new Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi.
The Hard Rock will open to the public after a year of construction. The buzz surrounds the first new casino to open on the Coast in seven years. It will employ 1,500 people.
Hard Rock Biloxi personnel gave a media tour Friday of the 500 to 600 pieces of memorabilia on display in the $235 million facility, which will include five restaurants, a full-service spa, beach pool, retail shops and other accommodations.
One of Elvis Presley's signature white rhinestone-studded capes during his Vegas years hangs on a wall in the Hard Rock Cafe. Hard Rock Biloxi's hallways also contain records and other items from the king of rock n' roll's early days.
Pascagoula native Jimmy Buffett is featured on a large wall over the caf? bar that contains a "Parrothead's" perch near a guitar and performance photos. Other caf?menities are centered by 42 different platinum and gold records from various international artists.
Lucille, B.B. King's legendary Gibson guitar, can be seen tucked away in the V.I.P. lounge, and each member of Escatawpa's own rock machine 3 Doors Down -- who helped break ground at Hard Rock Biloxi -- donated clothing and guitars that are on display near the entrance of the casino, which will feature 1,500 slot machines and 500 gaming tables.
Each floor has a designated star associated with it. As the elevator doors opened on the third floor of the 12-story, 318-room hotel, media members saw the dress worn by Star, Miss., native Faith Hill during her 2001 video for "There You'll Be" from the "Pearl Harbor" soundtrack.
A large two-story memorabilia wall with 100 items ranging from guitars, clothing, records and other rock treasures greets guests at the front door.
"We want items where you know (the artists) played that guitar or wore that stage costume, they just didn't pick it up and sign it. Every item has a story behind it," said Carrie Letfield, Hard Rock memorabilia designer.
"It's going to be this really amazing thing when you walk in and then everywhere you go here," Letfield added of the memorabilia that serves as centerpieces to the Hard Rock experience. She said the items are also updated and recirculated to maintain fresh pieces for visitors.
"We had to make sure we got the right mix of genres and decades to suit all demographics and tastes," said Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi president Joe Billhimer. "We want each Hard Rock Biloxi guest to feel like there is something they can identify with. There is something for everyone whether a local or tourist, young or slightly more mature."
The boots Nancy Sinatra wore "to walk all over you" hang near acoustics by Lou Reed, Sheryl Crow and others and a reception area with an excerpt from a Doors' classic, "Hello, I love you, won't you tell me your name?"
The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and other British rock giants have their own spots of fame in Biloxi as do American rock idols like Bob Dylan, whose jacket is on display; James Brown, whose satin vest was obtained while he was in jail; Eagles guitars and pictures, a full Jimi Hendrix memorabilia "experience" and many more.
Rita Gilligan, the first waitress ever hired at the first Hard Rock in London, took time from training employees to talk to the media. She's been with the Hard Rock franchise since 1971 and has served the likes of the Beatles, Stones, Cassius Clay and John McEnroe after his 1972 Wimbledon championship.
In fact, the Hard Rock in London was where the memorabilia trend started after Eric Clapton asked the bar if he could place a guitar over his favorite bar seat. That was followed by The Who's Pete Townshend, who sent a guitar and a note saying, "Mine's as good as his! Love, Pete."
"It was a place where the stars could hang out. And it's about treating everybody equally. Whether you were a millionaire or a bus driver you came into the hard rock," Gilligan said of the Hard Rock's roots.
Now a goodwill ambassador of Hard Rock International, Gilligan said she's helping "inject the unique spirit of the Hard Rock in the South." And according to Gilligan's early estimations, the Mississippi Gulf Coast is going to be a nice fit for the franchise.
"It's really lovely here (and) the people are really warm down here," she said.
There's also a wide range of memorabilia in Biloxi from hard rock supergroup Velvet Revolver, who on Sept. 9 will be the first act to perform in the 1,500-seat Hard Rock Live. The Romantics will also play free shows the weekend of the Hard Rock opening.
Tentative Hard Rock Live acts to follow into December include Tesla, Grand Funk, .38 Special, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Joss Stone, The Doobie Brothers, Better Than Ezra, Uncle Kracker, Loverboy, Andrew Dice Clay and Night Ranger.
"We're going to have a wide range of concerts to accommodate all the different age groups and crowds," said Shannon Oberlies, vice president of marketing.

Don,
Sorry to hear about your friend Gregg's bad luck, about all the folks
who lost jobs at the Hard Rock, and about all that irreplacable
memorabilia that is gone.......on top of all the other losses on the
Gulf Coast. The losses are unbelievable - life, property, historical
buildings & items ,jobs, etc....
