My phone ringer is shut off
All recording and rehearsing is postponed
My front gate is locked.
I have me some red tomatoes today.
FINALLY with this damn drought.
I am a hosin the bug spray and mud away, swatting the flies out of my face and having a backyard feast.
Nothing better than home grown tomatoes.
I do not care if I have tomoatoe jiuce all over my face. Not a bit.. LOL
I hope everyone elses gardens are going just as well!!!
Just kidding about rehearsals and recording. But this afternoon.... all about me and my maters.

I'm happy for ya! I love homegrown tomatoes too! Tomatoe sandwiches with mayo are delicious!

Want a nummy recipe? Nice and light for summer.
Boil 4-5 Whole Medium Tomatoes for 5 minutes
remove from water, set aside
CHop 1/2 onion
1/2 Green Bell Pepper
2-3 whole garloc cloves in peels (do not peel or chop)
in a small amount of oil Saute the whole garlic, Onion, and Pepper
remove peels and stems from tomatoes, lightly chop and add to pan
add a dash of red wine
bring to boil, reduce heat
add salt
pepper
oregano
Basil
once tomatoes look like they have cooked down into a light sauce
serve over rice or pasta
Another nummy Recipe
Box WHite Crackers
Unshredded Mozzeralla Cheese
Red Balsamic Vinagar
1-20 Whle fresh Basil Leaves
6-7 Whole RIPE Roma tomatoes
Chop the Romas in this slices long-ways
chop cheese into flat pieces and 1.5" squares
place cheese on crackers, top with Tomatoe slice then a basil leave
srinkle entire plate with the vinagar

Enjoy your tomatoes girl. Our gardens are over now. People planting their fall gardens now.
And yes L2S, give me a loaf of bread, a box of REAL tomatoes, and a jar of Blue Plate Mayonaise and that's all I'll eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
It's my favorite food in the whole world.
Everybody knows New Jersey grows the best tomatoes in the country.
And the sweet white queen corn is hard to beat too!
