Man Dies After 49 Hours Of Computer Games
Apparently Died Of Exhaustion
Aug 10, 2005 12:45 pm US/Eastern
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) A 28-year-old South Korean man died of exhaustion in an Internet cafe after playing computer games non-stop for 49 hours, South Korean police said Wednesday.
Lee, a resident in the southern city of Taegu who was identified only by his last name, collapsed Friday after having eaten minimally and not sleeping, refusing to leave his keyboard while he played the battle simulation game Starcraft.
Lee was quickly moved to a hospital but died after a few hours, due to what doctors are presuming was a heart attack, police said.
Lee had been fired from his job last month because he kept missing work to play computer games, police said.
Computer games are enormously popular in South Korea, home to professional gamers who earn big money through sponsorships and television stations devoted to broadcasting matches.

Hey. I almost saved a guys life a few weeks back. My wife and I were driving to Cirque Du Soleil at the meadowlands. While driving down the turnpike, at the next merge this black Stealth comes onto the roadway. Going pretty fast. Id say 80-85mph. About 3/4 mile up the road near our turnoff, All of a sudden I see a pile of dust and the car flip over and land on its roof. Told my wife to pull over and I ran acroos the highway. I was the first one there. Car settled upside down, Roof partially collapsed from the front by the winshield. I look under and see the guy lying on his chest facing the drivers side door. Bleeding face and hands. Crushed glass all beneath him. His side windows still closed and intact. I asked him if he was ok. He gave me a thumbs up. Then I ran around to check and make sure engine wasn't on fire or gasoline leaking. Neither. Otherwise I was gonna blow out the side window and drag him out. But it would of shattered more glass all over him because he was trapped. Meanwhile wife called 911. Then stayed there for a while awaiting emergency services. But I had to leave before they got there. Some bossy ICU nurse lady stops with her husband. "Alright! Everyone give him air!!! You don't move under there". Meanwhile everyone else is giving him air and she's got her fat snout stuffed in the the crack of the upside down driver side window. I was like, "Lady, you may be a nurse but you can't do anything! The guy is trapped! Why don't you give him some air!". After knowing the guy would be ok, I left. I had too or I was gonna tell this bossy lady to go pound salt!

on the LIE
11:45 am......must've been partying all night.
Actually my mom and sister graduated college together in the nursing profession and became RN's. They were never bossy like that. Though sometimes mom would be like a know it all. But that only helped the family to diagnose syptoms when sick before going to the doctor.

my son had a physical today, the Dr. said 2 hours of videos games or computers a day is max! Blake is way over that! yikes!
My stepson spends several hours each day sametime and instant messaging friends and his girlfriend.
Mom knows right where to go when he doesn't complete chores and punishment time is in order. Once she went down and pulled the phone cable. I'm like "Whats that gonna do?" When your not home he'll take it off another phone, use it and hook it back up before you get home".
That pissed her off even more. She went back downstairs and came back up with the keyboard and mouse in tow.
