One unscientific poll, coming up..........

Originally from St. Louis (Zebra's third home - KSHE 95), been living in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas since 1985.
And don't worry, I know there are a lot of Zebra fans in Chicago. I have a list of quite a few on my distribution list. I know Cara Carriveau and Zander at 97.9 "The Loop" are fans. Zebra performed at the House of Blues there a few years ago (though not very well attended I heard...may have been a weeknight if I remember correctly). Randy has performed a couple of solo acoustic shows for a local area charity...out at Penny Road Pub in South Barrington, IL and at the Brat Stop in Kenosha, WI. A couple of those shows he opened for Shooting Star. John Perry, Program Director and afternoon DJ at 95 WIIL Rock in Kenosha, is also a fan of Zebra.
We would love to get Zebra back to Chicago for Loopfest 2006. Let the folks at the station know your interest! And keep spreading the word to everyone you meet that enjoys great classic rock music.

I think Cara is still on maternity leave. I'll drop her an e-mail anyway. Can I tell her you sent me?
Trying to get a reply from anyone at WLUP is like pulling teeth. Loopfest kinda blows this year. They got a special appearance by Billy Squier sandwiched between Def Leppard and some unknown, but he's only playing acoustic, so I don't know how well that's going to go over.
Randy opened for "Hollywood" Shooting Star??! Who knew they were still around? I regret not knowing about Zebra back then. But you have to realize here the radio is always at least a decade behind and several hundred CDs short of....good.
I'm all for spreading the word on our unsung rock heroes. It's just that these days its so easy and commonplace to copy stuff, that I don't want to cheat bands like Zebra and Y&T by lending CDs out. Radio is the only safe way to get the people to know of Zebra, but we all know how that is  !

!
Just tell her that Don in Texas who has worked with John Schenk and The Rainbow Foundation sent you her way...
...and yes, Randy opened for that Shooting Star (great, great band that is still around), in St. Louis, South Barrington, and Kenosha a few years ago. Van and Ron from Shooting Star opened for Zebra in San Juan, PR, in June, 2001.

long gisland, new yawk. never saw Zebra back in the day, too young to get in bars. by the time i was old enough, i went into the Army. Didn't get to see them till '98 at the pub. The way prices are here, I hope to be elsewhere in the next few years.

very close poll. I'm amazed that the "elsewheres" are winning out, though barely... :)
I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area in California. I have several friends out here that are Zebra fans as well. I think we have been abandoned since they never play out here (I've been waiting since the mid-80s).

Born and raised on LI, been in Houston for 8 years now. Saw Zebra open for Loverboy as my very first concert at Nassau Coliseum and then at that club next to Good Samaritan Hospital in Bay Shore (I forget the name) in early 1987. Will never forget that show because my stepfather was in Good Sam at the time dying of cancer, but my mom insisted I go to the show to do something fun since it was a pretty sad time for us.
