I love it!

No lengthy review here. Just go out and buy it.

My favorite song is the last song titled Shine It All Around. The track is not listed on the song list...sort of hidden after the song Brother Ray.

Well, I guess I'd say "Judge for yourself." I got a link to a website that will allow you to stream play Robert Plant's newest CD (you can't download it or jump from track to track). It's 54 minutes long so plan on streaming it in the background while you work/surf. You will definitely need a cablemodem, DSL or T1 line (dialup will probably be too slow).

I'm jamming to it now as I type this message and so far it is GREAT. Led Zeppelin's Bobby P. is still putting out some cool work. Here's the link:

Click on the "The Mighty Rearranger - Stream the Entire Album!" link on that page.

I finally purchased this CD yesterday and I have played it 5 times already and can justifiably pronounce it an AWESOME album now! I don't know what crack jukebox hero, malja316, & jennbo where smokin' when they dismissed this one, but they were wrong (just kidding folks - it's called h-u-m-o-r).

What this CD prompts myself to ask is why was the last Page/Plant CD "Walking to Clarksdale" such a turd?! Does Jimmy stifle Robert's muse or does Robert save his best material for his solo-solo stuff? Enquiring minds want to know. "Unledded" was a much better album than "Clarksdale" and it had 3 cool new songs in the World music vein that Peter Gabriel and Paul Simon mine so well.

On Mighty Rearranger one can hear the Middle Eastern/North African influence to Mr. Plant's music in several of the songs (such as "Sombody Knockining" and "Takamba" - duh) which all spring from the same source as "Kashmir." It's a great sound to draw from.

I also like the lyrics to the first song "Another Tribe" which are more politically/philosophically) aware than most of his songs (kind of like "Why" by our favorite band). The Blues are also still a strong source to Plant as demonstrated by songs like "The Enchanter" and "Let the Four Winds Blow" which are mutated enough by The Strange Sensation to fit in with trip-hop/techno scene.

Finally Plant's rockabilly roots shine through on "Freedom Fries" and his way with a ballad is reinforced with "All the King's Horses" which comes pretty close to "Over the Hills and Far Away" melodicism. The amazing thing is that Plant and the Strange Sensation can mix all these styles into such a wonderful musical dish! You should go back for seconds and thirds IMHO.

Excellent review!

The more I listen to the album the more I like it.

I just picked up 12th row seats for his Atlanta show. Its at Chastain which is an outdoor ampitheater. Its the best place in Atlanta to see a show. I can't wait as I've never seen Plant perform live before.

Hey, Dale...Randy is headed back to Atlanta. Saturday, September 24. Get ready to spread the word to all of your friends. We want a big crowd to see Randy perform. Mike indicated that Randy can play for 2 hours this time.

Hi Don.
I already sold several tickets to the August date before it was rescheduled. I've been helping Mike promote all his shows. Spreadin' the word on the southside.

I'll look forward to the show. Let me know if you can make it to Atlanta. You are welcome to stay with us if you like.
