How come in episode IV they cut out the part where Han Solo shoots Greedo under the table??????

That is currently going down as the biggest blunder in George Lucas history, according to the Star Wars faithful.
They didn't actually get rid of Han shooting under the table, Lucas just has Greedo shooting first now.......idiotic.
The beauty of the original is that Han shoots first. Greedo was toast before he had a chance to shoot.

Having Greedo shoot first and miss from point blank range is completely upsurd. Many, MANY people tried to get Lucas to change it back to the original way for the DVD release, but Lucas insisted on having Greedo shoot first because it's "his vision" of the movie.

But 'tis the truth. There has been an entire movement to try to get GL to reconsider that stupid, Politically Correct move. There was a web site dedicated to it for a long time (gone now) but try a google search on Han Solo Shot First and see what comes up :)

Cant wait for episode 3 this May, should be a kickass movie! This month, there are gonna be reissues of episodes 1 and 2 on DVD...if you didnt buy it the 1st time, this is now your chance to get them before episode 3 comes to dvd later this year and I am sure there will be a boxset of episodes 1, 2, and 3...and maybe even a 1-6 boxset as well.
