What I learned at the Diner Friday nite.....

1. The cheesey Diner Jukebox (which currently has NO Zebra on it) seems to be possessed by Jimmy Buffett, and only plays "Margaritaville"
2. A 12 egg-white omlette costs a lot more than a dozen eggs!!
3. There is a special caffeine invention in the works that we will patent soon; however, I think our security is compromised because we slipped info to the waitress...
4. "wasted away again at margaritaville....searching for my lost shaker of salt..."
5. When Stix thinks you're being a p*ssy, he calls you a "Sally"... (I rather like that one!!)
6. I use the "F" word A LOT!!

The things that I learned from the Diner on Friday night....

1. When you put money in the jukebox and play a song, it'll be playing when you go back in 3 yrs.
2. Skim milk turns coffee into liquid bile
3. The Juan Valdez Lab DOES have a security breach because of the info for the caffeine invention that was leaked to our waitress....
4. Musicians should think about NOT having kids otherwise they will write a tell all book about them or tell you snippets in a diner...
5. We had the rowdiest table and that we sing Margaritaville pretty damn good.
6. That I'm secretly an inventor
7. That Stix looks like Sting - well, I re-learned this one!

1)Randy wrote a tune with Paul Stanley 20 years and left his baby girl with Gene Simmons while he worked on recording a tune with Stanley & that Zebra played a show at the Super Dome with KISS for 30,000 people in '82 (I can't believe I didn't know that, just shows how young ZGirl & I are ahah)

2)Randy collects doubloons (doubloon: Pronunciation: "d&-'blün"
Function: noun, an old Spanish coin, Mardi Gras throw) and he made custom doubloons by boiling them on the stove (and I felt like a fool when I couldn't remember the different gauges of doubloons for anything right after I told Randy I used to collect them too, Randy knew every guage, what color, what year etc. on doubloons up until the 70's), we even argued about what year Kiss was in Endymion (anyone remember?) as I had a blue Kiss doubloon somewhere in my mom's attic) :=)

3)Every popular Jefferson Airplane tune when Randy shot me down when I said I didn't know any of those tunes when he and Banter were talking about when Randy toured with Jefferson.

4)Randy doesn't make illegal left turns like we did when leaving the diner at around 4:00 a.m.

5)Randy has sympathy for me when I said that ZGirl is sometimes hard to follow when she tells a story when he couldn't follow her daily work schedule. :) (she's gonna wanna kill me for saying that one)

And that everyone in the crew was really cool and made us feel at home the entire time from the show at the King's Club until we left the diner (and Sue & ZebraC the next day too sharing some NY pizza with us!)

It really was aewsome to be someplace where there are such great Zebra fans, after all of this time I still thought of Zebra as a local band. Too bad we all just met this year but better late than never.

I take it that's Randy's diner. thing s i learned at the diner I go to. Play one song and 3 years when you re-enter it will still be on.. Lady waiteresses do talk about trucks. You, losse more quarters in those darn things. it takes 6 sugars to make diner coffee taste good. Ever notice the oil on the side of the creamers, when was the last time those things were cleaned. ? Like having coffee at gregg's house. tiles are all busted up and it only plays 50's music.

also i learned that Teddy Cook (China Rain) is now in the Sign and that the guitarist from China Rain has spent much of the last decade snorting coke but now is OK and that the drummer played in Slash's Snakepit and that the Sign is currently writing album #2 but has not yet started recording.

And yes, that there is a man who keeps track of when he has sex w/his wife (using his sales tracking software!) is pretty astounding!

Also, if someone really stopped snorting, I'd think they wouldn't want to keep being referred to as "Snow".... I saw that guy win a local N.O. guitar battle when I was a senior in hi school ('88) and he had the sweep picking down... (and he won the contest too BTW) More trivia: I saw R Snow's band HAGEN open up for Zebra on the Riverboat President the same year. I have a recording of the Zebra show that my friend made with a pro Walkman recorder but I have no idea of where the tape is!

Actually we call Cheeto's Chee Weez (sp?), as I think they were originally invented by a company in NOLA way back and Frito Lay copied them and branded them as Cheeto's.

Chee Weez and Cheese Doodles both sound equally as goofy BTW to me...

I'll stick to Chester the Cheetah and Cheeto's. :)
