That sux that the Hornets fans have to endure this torture, if my Lakers were in this predicament, I would be losing my mind! Then again, when the Lakers lose in the 1st round of the playoffs because they dont have a reliable center (damn I miss Shaq!) I am just gonna laugh everytime Kobe's name comes up....

About 6 weeks ago, they had an article that sums things up: Too Old, Too Slow, Can't Shoot. They've unloaded 2 of the "old" players, but still are learning a new system and a new style of game(outside shooting opposed to inside play in the East). The thing that REALLY ****s is that jacka$$ who was part of the David Wesley deal. He refuses to report. Who the hell is he? He's been in the league 12 years and this would be his 11th team. Jordan he AIN'T!

Im going to show my ignorance here....Is New Orleans too poor to foot these teams or is it all just bad management?
Basketball drives me NUTS,,,,,,until they make the basket 15 foot theres no point to it anymore, any 7 footer can stuff a basket, thats like playng Hockey without Goalies.....Or hitting off a tee in Baseball

I don't think it has as much to do with money as it does with management. Good management will win out every time. Look at what the Marlin's did to the Yankees in the World Series two years ago. There was a HUGE difference those two teams payroll, but the Marlins were better managed in that series. They certainly did not have the better players IMO.

BTW. New Orleans isn't as poor as most people think.

You got that right. I could care less about basketball or the Hornets. They could go back to Charlotte for all I care.

Having to endure my entire life watching the Saints is the equivalent of getting every hair on your body getting plucked out one by one.....

It is very frustrating. That's the reason that practically EVERYONE in the New Orleans area has an alternate team to pull for.
:p

OUCH, that ****s....im sorry, naturally i dont follow your teams but since you are all from NO i did have the saints on my wish list...I was going to ask that NO jet fan the reason for his allegiance but now i understand...
BTW, you have no idea how much i miss Hockey....I hate Bettman

Being in a "small" market don't help either. Crap....if it were up to the NFL, EVERY team would be in a "major" market. I hope all four teams on the list(St. Louis, Indy, N.O. and Minnesota) can get stadium deals so they can tell the league to kiss their a$$. In the Saints situation, they bitch how small our market, but LOVE coming here for the Super Bowl(we've hosted 9 of them and have the most of all the cities).

I'm in the same boat as Scott, I couldn't care less for basketball. Lets face it, not a sport anymore, just "showtime". When the Hornets came here, it literally killed any major concert acts coming here(most of the acts want to play a 20,000 seater if its indoors now). I just wish they'd give Byron Scott a chance. You can't go from the outhouse to the penthouse overnight........
