Strangely As i said Before is missing...as is Directions...i wasnt at this show, i have no idea if they played them or not.

As big as a Zebra fan as i was i never even Knew about this show till JB and Rush mentioned it....

I remember once coming home from a Hammerheads show in early 80's and I had this rhythm going on in my head from one particular show. I never could place what song it was from cause I never heard Randy play the lick again. Ever. Turns out after hearing the way they played Free back then it was Free. Also sounds like the lyrics were "barer" back then. This is definitely one of my top 3 Zeb songs of all time. Rock on

(1) As I Said Before and Directions were not part of the radio show that has been circulating

(2) The original version of Free not only had different lyrics, but a different melody for the verses as well. I used to have a copy of the old Free on a cassette, but I don't know what happened to it (sorry).

I know Rush, what i meant was that they didnt play it....i found that strange, more so on As I said before...I know Randy has never liked Directions...
As ive stated before, the words, arrangements and whatever were way different back then, i mean to find your dreams must have 20 different lyrics...

I still like the way the old stuff sounds Rush and I'm a Rocker. It was bare , raw and confident. Randy doesn't like "To find your dreams either". I once asked him about it and he laughed like why did we even write that one. Still would like to know why he doesn't like Directions. Is a gem of a song.

THANKS GUYS - I miss this old stuff and although I have some on cassettes I have saved-- after all these years they don't play too well anymore -BTW didn't Hofstra or Nassau Comm. College have a live broadcast around the same time too ??

Neither...this was broadcast live from Fordham University on Fordham's radio station. It's the first NY radio broadcast of Zebra.

i saw Zebra at My Fathers Place also but i cant remember when that was either and somewhere i have a tape of that but i dont think it sounds too good.

i have an old cassette of them from way back but it sounds terrible, but every now and then it gets played for old time sake.

not sure, all it has on the cover is "a september to remember" zebra. its pretty ate up sound. it was a tape from a tape from another tape from another tape so my tape is like hissing and very fast.
