That's an amazing movement that i was totally unaware of. It never occurred to me that something could be done by the public on a large scale to combat the crappy entertainment. I absolutely love it. It's time. It seems like a great idea considering the number of ashlee simpson cd's out there. An unknown (by teens) band getting a chance to get in the heads of mindless teenie boppers. It's a start, and it can grow.

If you look closely at the performances, alot of entertainers are doing it. I saw Josh Grobin doing it after not believing those notes he was hitting. It was only towards the end of the tune, but it was definitely lip syncing. Also, i saw Beyonce doing it after hearing smooth, in tune vocals while dancing all over the place. Can you imagine the horror of some pop stars when they are told > "the lip syncing machine is down, you're just gonna have to sing for real"

When I was actually stocking the Entertainment shelves overnights at Super Target (before securing my real job this August...), I definitely stocked a very large number of Ashlee's debut CD on a nightly basis. That release was flying off the shelves...of course $9.99 sure did help.

What they SHOULD do is post a warning before entering the venue: Most.....if not all of this performance will be live. Wonder how many lemmings would stick around??

I think you should let your customers know that the performance your seeing will not be sung but the singers and all vocals will come from recordings
I think its a ****ing shame that madonna and britney janet and others go on stage take your money and fake it all.

Glad you guys understood what I meant to write. You know how much I hate lip-synching and (over)sampling. Concerts are LIVE.....PERIOD. Warts and all. Crank it to 10, and let it rip. Let the chips fall where they may. Most of the current artists wouldn't have a clue what to do if they *****ed up. Most probably re-cue the damn tape.
