This is sad, Maurice passed away from what I've heard. As much as I was into rock and roll in the 70s, I did really think the Bee Gees were phenomenal ( Donna Summer is still my fav female vocalist). I seen Saturday Night Fever in my teens, and its just really sad that hes gone. Rest in Peace.

How sad that this family lost 2 brothers at a young age. On cable, I saw a recent concert the Bee Gees had done, and they did a beautiful tribute to their little brother Andy. They showed pictures of him and they sang one of the hits they wrote for Andy: "Don't throw it all away our love". VERY touching. Now Andy has his big brother Maurice with him. My heart goes out to the family.
It is truly the end of an era.
A very talented tio. Unfortunately too many people only remember them for their work on Saturday Night Fever. They bunch the band in with Disco and the Donna Summers of the world. Here is a band with such hits as Lonely Days, I Started a Joke, The New York Mining Disaster, Nights on Broadway and so many others. Their songs have been covered by Elvis, Janis Joplin, and even Ozzy Osborne.
Growing up in the 70's, their albums were as welcome on my turntable as Zep, the Beatles and The Stones. Their music has helped shaped rock and roll and their place in the ROCK AND ROLL hall of fame is a truly deserved one.
