For all who already have the VHS/CD set of Live Sh*t - Binge and Purge(or the tapes have been played to death), or haven't gotten it yet....Best Buy has the 5 disc clamshell CD/DVD set on sale this week for $25. Regular sticker is $50.

The 1993 Mexico City show (the 3 CD's) is cool, it sounds really good and there was very little done with the recording. The 1989 Seattle DVD is cool, lots of good old school Metallica songs were played...however, 1992 San Diego show ****S! I am appauled of how bad the filming is on this show...the audio is cool though...for $25, its a great price and a good value, but beware, I really feel the filming of the 2 DVD San Diego 1992 show ****s really bad...but that is my opinion...The same crew who filmed the Pink Floyd "Delicate Sound of Thunder" VHS filmed this Metallica show...and I thought the filming on that Pink Floyd show was bad too...

Since we are on the subject of Best Buy, I picked up Goodfellas on DVD (the new 2 disc special edition version) onsale for $15.99 and also got the new unrated version of Gia. (with Angelina Jolie) Best Buy is the ONLY place that has this movie and they are selling it for only $10...all the other stores will get this version in next week...

Was VERY surprised when Goodfellas came out at that price. All the ad said was "hot price". One of my favorite movies, with MORE.

Best Buy has Goodfellas onsale at $15.99 up until Saturday 8/21 9PM and then it will most likely go to $20...Circuit City has Goodfellas onsale at $17.99 this week up until Saturday night as well. If you take the Best Buy ad into Circuit City, CC will match 110% of Best Buy's price up until Saturday night...

Here's another good bargain this week for all you videogamers...If you buy Madden 2005 at Circuit City for $50, they will give you a $10 gift card towards your next purchase (meaning next time you go there you will get $10 off something) That is a good deal but for $20, you can get NFL 2K5, which is a KILLER football game for $20...regularly priced!

I remember when my youngest brother-in-law got Binge & Purge and he paid like $100 for it 'cuz he had to have it when it first came out. Or did my mother-in-law buy it for him?? Either way when you see what you buy it for now.....what a dumb ass he was!

The only thing that sux about that boxset to me was the San Diego 1992 video...but I thought that the 3 cd set and the Seattle 1989 video were GREAT...

Yeah, I bought the original box set cd/vhs set when it came out. I think I got mine for like 85-90 bucks, a bit less than the usual price of 100 bucks. If we only knew then what we know now. But, we had to have it. Who knew dvd's were on their way in? Who knew everything we had on vhs would come out and we'd have to re-buy it all, just like our tapes and vinyl? While new cd's are wayyyy overpriced, these re-releases are at least priced right. And I'll have to go out and get that Gia dvd. It was actually a decent movie, and before Angelina Jolie was famous and got all wierd and freaky. Plus, she was pretty hot in it. Yeah, boy!!!!

Yup, that is why I bought the Unrated version of Gia as well....2 minds thinking alike....:D (as the NWO (wrestling) theme song is playing in the background...or if you dont know it, some 70's porn music...)

Breaking news:

Congressmen Outraged By Inaccuracies In
Metallica Documentary

WASHINGTON, DC—Republican and Democratic congressmen lambasted the documentary Metallica: Some Kind Of Monster for its "gross inaccuracies and fabrications" Monday. "[Filmmakers] Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky are clearly biased," Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert said. "By editing together concert footage from three different mediocre shows, they have given the general public a false impression that Metallica still kicks ass." Hastert added that there is no hard evidence to support the film's argument that the album St. Anger has more thrashing riffs than Kill 'Em All.

What's this??? Mentioning a politician AND a movie??? Is this the pot calling the kettle black? Trying to sway opinions, are we? Hmmm??? Be verrry careful. :p Just kidding!!! I ordered the box set over the weekend, as well as the Gia dvd. Can't wait to get them. Ordered the Bob and Doug McKenzie classic Strange Brew as well. I've had it on VHS for years, but dvd is forever!!!

Actually, it is a spoof article from " theonion.com ".
It originally just had Republicans, but I changed it to "both"..hee hee.

It's a pretty funny article...since I feel the same way...(smiley)
