Entergy is our local energy company/monopoly down here. We hit a bad stretch of weather this afternoon, and as a result, we lost power from 1 to 6. WELL.....every time we call to get an update, the time was pushed further back. God bless them(NOT), they got us back up before 6PM, instead of 10PM. I really wonder how these blowhards would feel if they were out of their air conditioned offices and sweating their privates off in this heat hoping we get power again. I hate monopolies. Entergy, Cox, and all others can burn in hell.

I'm glad you got that off your chest!!! Our energy company, LIPA, is no better. Everytime I conserve more the rate goes up. Go figure out that one.

You're right Eddie.....SH*T happens, but it totally ticks me off when you can't get a straight answer out of these morons, kinda like watching people tap-dancing in mindfields. Sorry, I get a little testy when the temps are still in the 80's(despite rain), and I have myself(a diabetic), a cancer patient and a asthmatic to worry about in the heat.

MAYBE......if Entergy wasn't a monopoly, they'd be a little more caring towards the clients needs and questions. Besides, I have a bone to pick with them anyway....they've already fried 2 of my PC's caused by THEIR faulty equipment.

We have Cleco here in Slidell. The bill keeps going up... Just got it yesterday--close to $100 bucks.... That ****s!

Hear ya Macca! We have SLEMCO here. We had trouble getting power to the house when we were building. After waiting two weeks, getting the run around, and no cooperation for their service department..... I drove to their headquarters, demanded I speak to their head huncho, with the veins popping out of my neck and my eyes wide open like I was going to kill him, I told him if it was not turned on that day, something bad was going to happen. He sent a crew out that afternoon. Acting like a crazy woman did the trick! :)

Are you kidding??? I wish my bill was only $100. Remember a couple of years ago when Entergy had their power crisis in New Orleans? My friend who I worked with at the time showed me his bill.......... $600!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
