Knee Injury Forces Britney to Cancel Tour
NEW YORK -- Britney Spears won't be gyrating in revealing outfits this summer — at least not on stage. The pop star canceled her summer tour Tuesday because of a knee injury she suffered last week during a video shoot with Snoop Dogg in New York for her new song "Outrageous."

Her knee gave out during the choreography and afterward she underwent arthroscopic surgery.

As a result, she'll be wearing a hard brace for six weeks and will require at least two months of rehabilitation, according to a statement from her label, Jive Records.

Spears was scheduled to begin the summer leg of her North American tour, which featured plenty of choreographed dance numbers, June 22 in Hartford, Conn.

Are u guys serious? Granted she is decent looking...but do you really care that she is touring? I mean, you all bought tickets to see her?

I might think she is decent looking but that does not mean that I feel she is a good singer or has good songs. She can dance that is for sure, but I am sorry people, her songs F'n ****.....her 5 minutes of fame has lasted way too long...I mean, if she wants to pose in Maxim, Playboy, etc that is cool, but get her off the stage, MTV, and the radio NOW!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry D-Man, maybe I'm just too "old school". I go to a concert, I want to see a band perform, not a bunch of pretty boys or tarts dancing around the stage and lip-synching. If I want to see or hear that, I can stay home and watch videos and listen to CD's.

But you must realize that if you or anyone else is a fan of the following artists, you have to expect the backlash from people like myself and others...Britney Spears, Eminem, Good Charlotte, Jay Z, Beyonce, and about 75% of the rap artists that are flooding their airwaves right now about who their crew is, what kind of car they are driving, and who they are "doing it" with....

The whole idea of the thread was a joke....Don't worry, my feelers aren't hurt. You're right though about respecting other peoples opinions....
A funny thing, my kids (son 11 and 2 daughters 9 & 6) aren't even that into her anymore. They do listen to some of the above mentioned and whatever else they get "poisoned" with from TV and radio. I try to limit what they hear with respect to lyrics and content.
