Didn't we compare this on another thread before............I think Boston is leading, unless Randy has been writting new material.

BOSTON LINE UP NEW DATES AND LIVE DVD:
From Pollstar.com:
Classic rockers Boston have announced dates for their 2004 summer tour. The band will play concerts in 21 cities they were unable to reach last year, when they embarked on their first tour in six years.
Founding songwriter/guitarist/producer Tom Scholz will once again reunite with original lead singer Brad Delp on the trek, which commences July 13 at the Civic Center in Glens Falls, N.Y.
Joining Scholz and Delp will be Kimberley Dahme (bass, vocals), Anthony Cosmo (guitar, vocals), Fran Cosmo (vocals, guitar), Gary Pihl (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), and Jeff Neal (drums, vocals).
Although the band has never made a music video or performed on television, they're planning on documenting their wildly popular live show with a concert video/DVD to be filmed this summer.
Their latest album, Corporate America, was released in late 2002. The band is currently in the studio working on new material, where several of the new members are contributing as songwriters.
[For the record - I have no updates as to whether any new songs are actually being worked on - but there was a report Tom was re-mixing the album for a re-release. Stay tuned...]

I was always meant to pickup the Corporate America CD and never did, I heard it was pretty good. Always heard Boston was a good live act, but never had a chance to see them. Depending on how much tickets are, I would give these guys a chance....If the DVD is mostly live footage, I will pick it since I really like the 1st album (like everyone else does) and thought Dont Look Back was decent and Third Stage had its moments but I felt it wasnt as good as their 1st 2 records...I heard the one album with the replacement singer and thought it ****ed, I think it was called "Walk On."

I remember there being clips of a "Don't Look Back" video on the commercial for the 1st Day Of Rock And Roll. And I have a recording on Beta of the video "More Than A Feeling" where bassist Fran Sheehan looked like he was on something that made him feel reallllll good!:D Funny that they mentioned that there were no music videos made. I wish they would have. I would have loved to have had a concert of them with all the original members!

I have all of them.
I agree with your thoughts on the 1st 3 albums.
"Walk On" continued their trek downward and "Corporate America" is no different.
Don't waste your money.

Brad Delp and Barry Goudreaux from Boston put out an album back in 1991 under the band name "RTZ".
The name of the album was "Return to Zero".
Sounded very much like Boston....just without Tom Scholtz's guitar.
It was much better than the last 2 Boston releases....in my opinion.

I think Barry Goudreau had put out a solo single, called "Dreams"(?). I remember listening to it on a jukebox somewhere. Sounded just like Brad and the rest of the band.

They actually recorded another album as RTZ called Lost, and never released it, but I've got most of the songs. It sounds about the same with a little more edge sound.
