I went to the Mazarin reunion show last night. The second band was called TorQue. They are AMAZING!

Comprised of members of the John Entwistle Band and Rat Race Choir, they totally rocked the house. They have just released a CD, 103103, which I would have picked up had they still been selling it at 1 am.

Check out sample tracks at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/torquemusic

Rarely in the last decade or two has a band blown me away at first listen. This band totally did! Also, Having Mark Hitt (wrote Arabian Nights with Randy and played with Zebra at the unplugged show for a couple of songs, guitarist for Hindenberg) on Guitar did help, but even not knowing that I still would have been blown away by this band.

Check them out - you might just be impressed!

I saw them too - Mark Hitt was unbelievable as always !! the Keyboard player is Chris Clark from Wonderous Stories, Steve Luongo Drums and Lead vocals from Rat Race Choir and The John Entwistle Band and Jeff Ganz on 8- string,Double neck 8 and 4 [I never saw one before] fretless and 4 string bass - he did a solo medley of LedZep that was Amazing - can't wait to see them again.I will post photos when I get time-- the only downside to the nite was I didn't get to Rubys until the Randy was almost done - but I did get to hear the Beatle medley

News from Torque:

Dear Friends,

We would like to thank those of you who were able to make it to Friday's show at The Downtown. It was a blast and it was great to see all the familiar faces and relive some great times. Since the show we have received several e-mails of praise and support…we thank you for that. With all the nostalgia the night still felt fresh and new. After so many years of playing that's really saying something. We thank you all for making it another great night.

We got a great recording that night and we may post a few clips at www.bitsatalent.com.

The performance at BB King Blues Club will be broadcast for the first time on May 30th on HDNet. We are still waiting for the airtime of the broadcast and we will update you as soon as we have it. If you are not sure where to “see” HDNet programs you can visit their website at www.HD.net. Our show isn't listed yet but it will be. We have already seen the rough cut. It looks and sounds great. Everyone at HDNet did a great job along with the Brandon Productions crew. We now have an incredible visual documentation of the night in the High Definition format. This will surely give way to live CD and video releases by the band in the future.

Thanks For Listening
~TorQue~

I would really like to hear this band. I've been hearing about Mark Hitt for years but have never heard him play. If anyone has any songs to share or trade, please let me know.
