I would hire 5 bands to come to my town and play....

They all are some of my favorites from the 80's....
They all are still touring.....
They all have recently put out new cd's....

I could afford to do that by winning an average lottery.

Maybe having some "nobody that won the lottery" hiring these bands to play for him would get media attention.
That could only bring more attention to those bands.

That would be one kick-ass Dave-fest!

I would even spring for flights for all you guys to join me.

OK...I'm just dreaming.....BUT....

Firehouse was one of the best concerts i've seen, and they weren't the headliner. I've thought about winning the lotto, and i think i'd make a list of family first, and give them equal amounts. (not 3rd cousins who i haven't seen in ten years or ever). Then i'd make a list of friends and those have have helped/supported me along the way. Next, would have to be a marshall stack fo sho. All x's wouldn't be on my list; or i may give them a bad check:). After the stack, i should get a vehicle, but i like my ole beatup toyota pickup. I think i'd like to go to some tropical paradise, and relax in a hammock. Then, finally, i' get the best computer; i still don't have one! Everyone thinks they know what they'll do, but alot of winners wind up depressed and broke. People come out of the woodwork.

I'd proably pay off all my debt, renovate my house, travel a little and when all is said and done have a HUGE fest and have these bands play:

Kinda reminds me of "Fast Times...." when Spicoli saved Brook Shields from drowning and blew the reward $$$ hiring Van Halen to play the party.
I would NO DOUBT have Zebra play along with TypeO & CINDERELLA!
I might even surprise Randy by having Paul or Jimmy show up.

First of all I'd pay off my brother's house, pay someone to drive my parents in their RV to Alaska and buy a car with a driver for my little grandma so she could go everywhere she wanted without having to wait til it was convenient for one of us. I'd also buy my aunt and uncle a condo on the gulf coast.

I hope I'd write a substantial check to my church.

Then I'd buy myself a house in New Orleans and a condo at Gulf Shores, AL and Holey Mother a totally outfitted mini van or suv.

I hope there would be some left for spa days!

It's so that we are thinking BIG on this thread, but for others as well.

I don't have any family left and am an only child, but if my mom was still alive you can bet your shrimp boots she's gotten some the $$

2) Give some to the kids
3) Get a really nice car
4) Retire
5) Gather up some good friends, pay their salary for a week, get them on a jet, fly them to a island somewhere, have them dropped off at gorgeous villa (which serves as my new home) with servants everywhere, I'd greet them at the door and the party would begin. :D

Pay off debt, build a house, bus, borrow some of Hugh Hefner's women for a few days, have Rob Fest featuring Van Halen, Zebra, Race Odessy, and Motley Crue, PB, and about 1000 lbs of crawfish and snapping shrimp. I'd jump on stage naked and tell my ex to "piss off..how ya like me now biotch?", get totally wasted on the most expensive liquer I could find (go to detox after that).......phew....then probably go back to school and finish my degree after a short 2 month vacation.
