BASKETBALL IS FOR FAGS WHO DON'T WATCH FOOTBALL!!!
Basketball is a very physical sport. Just as much as hockey. Much more then Baseball. Not quite as much as Football. Its definitely not for Fags.
I watch and play most all sports. If you say basketball is for fags? Then let me show you how its done. Such a comment is a result of frustration for not being able to Master the Sport.
Lots would say GOLF is for Fags? I have a friend whose a professional at a upstate NJ course. He has no handicap.
Say his sport for fags and then tee off next to him. He'll be on the green in one stroke while your flailing with a golf club looking like your being attacked by Mosquitoes!
NETS AND PACKERS WILL GO ALL THE WAY THIS YEAR!
Mark,
I agree about the Packers statement, but if you think basketball is a physical as hockey, well then roll me up what you've been smoking.
and by the way, I said capes, not CAPS

whats capes
Checks in basketball can sometimes be as harsh as checks in hockey. I've seen guys get slammed to a hardwood floor before, snapping their neck back and getting knocked out cold. Elbows to the face or chest. Walking off, bleeding all over the court and sometimes coming back with stitches. Ask Luscious Harris of the NETS. He for one got whacked in the face last year and had to get surgery to repair the fractured orbit around his eye. Remember he had to play the end of the season with a transparent, Jason, Friday the 13th mask?
Physical is one thing. Brutal is another. Hockey is more brutal. Basketball is just as physical. I mean, In hockey the guys get in fights and they let each guy beat the crap out of one another. Basketball is a bit more civilized in that sense. Basketball has more limitations as to what you can and can't do on the court.
Getting checked into the boards is Nasty. But so is getting run over on a layup charge to the net and getting slammed into the net post. I myself have personally broken bones before playing basketball. Basketball players jump up and down. They don't do spins on skates. Basketball players run down the court. Hockey players kick out a few times and glide the rest of the way.
Kinda like comparing riding a bike, coasting on wheels as opposed to running the NYC marathon.
If Basketball is for fags then I'm one. But I'll challenge anyone to a one on one. Whether I get beat or not I love the competition.
Ok
first of al my capes commment was in reference to the capes that your team waltzed out on the court with on their opening day.
Secound, Mark you're out of your ****ing mind if you think that getting posted down low is the same as getting beat up in front of an oppoosing teams net and I don't mean fighting. The toughness that a professional hockey player must exhibit day in and day out is like night and day to basketball. Day in and day out hockey players are taping up their sprains, stitching up their cuts and getting back the same night, while basketball players are sitting on the sidelines with their sprained thumbs or twisted knees. Cmon man wake up and smell the coffee, because when it comes to day in and day out hockey players are in there while basketball players are sitting on the sidelines in their Armani suits.

True, how many teeth have you seen lost at a basketball game? Hockey is definately more of a contact sport than basketball. These basketball players get paid more, for what? The NBA needs to change the rule book, and make dunks 1 point. You got 3 pointers, why not make a dunk 1 point. Problem is, most of these guys don't know how to perform a lay up. Just because hockey players wear padding and helmets, doesn't make it a cushy job. The same for football players, unless you were a kicker or punter, and didn't get hit so often.
Guess it all depends on how hard you play and how tough a person you are. And there is no way you can believe 1/2 of the injuries in sports are 1/2 as critical as sports doctors make them seem.
For instance how come Drew Fiedler or Phil Simms couldn't or can't play with a broken thumb but Brett favre could?
Ok Doc. Lets settle on this. They are both very physical sports. Hockey has the edge over basketball as far as being a ROUGHER sport.
Though you still might not be able to convince the black guy I work alongside. He's stuck in a wheel chair for the rest of his life due to a basketball related back injury incurred when going in for the layup and getting dropped to the ground by a hard defense. He's paralyzed from the hip down.

I think in basketball there should be a 5 second shot clock and a gasoline fire at the center court line. Then you would see some fast fast breaks.
But then what would happen if Jason Kidd let a nasty one go on the fast break just as he passed midcourt. The fast break would be even faster. He'd get a turbo boost out of his butthole! He'd be like one of then 300+MPH Jet cars you see at the Drag Races.
