Stevie Blaze is busy enough without Lillian Axe, but i wish it would've worked with Ron. I've heard some tunes from "Near Life Experience" on a retired local show here, and i was impressed. I also heard he was playing with "Angel" (a classic band). There was a priod when i saw them live and Stevie didn't look happy; it seemed that a producer changed up some old songs/choruses, and it also seemed that stevie wasn't happy when the keyboard player played rhythm guitar. Lots of evil glances. I really enjoyed the old lillian axe with one guitar. They came out and opened with "Wrathchild" by maiden. Maiden is a two guitar band (well 3 now), but that high bend against drums and bass kicked ass! I still remember that show vividly.

I was NEVER a fan of this band, but I 'm sorry to hear that the singer decided to split.

SOME OF THESE 80'S BANDS JUST SHOULD'VE
HAD THE SENSE TO KNOW IT'S OVER!!!
ZEBRA STOOD THE TEST OF TIME WITH THEIR FANS!!!
AEROSMITH AND RUSH ARE STILL KICKIN' ASS!!!
QUEENSRYCHE WERE AWESOME LAST SUMMER,
BUT THEIR FANS SEEMED TO DISSIPATE!!!
THEY SHOULD'VE SOLD OUT ESPECIALLY WITH DREAM THEATER
AND THE PLACE WAS ONLY 2/3'S FULL!!!

to play devil's advocate - I applaud those groups who stayed with it, even through the low turn out shows. Zebra and Randy Solo have had some low turn outs. Sometimes a band may lose a few fans while growing musically, but the payoff is knowing that the band believes in the music. In the long run, it may mean a packed house, and maybe not. But i think Zebra is around BECAUSE they didn't throw in the towel because of the low turn out shows; they didn't know when to say "it's over".

thats too bad, but I thought Stevie Blaze sold out to MCA Records years ago and they made him get rid of Johnny Vines

you're probably right 77. I'm no up on the business dealngs of Lillian, I just know what i saw on stage > A five piece band who I liked less than the old 4 piece lillian. I think Stevie is a genuine musician, i mean, he's been in original music for a long time; long enough to be doing it for the right reasons. Yes, he's been through drugs and all, but trying to keep your neck above water in the music biz isn't exactly low stress.
