DN, don't know if you listen to Fred (44) or Ethel (47) at all, but there is a good mix of the two on Lucy (54). It's a pretty good station. Anything between 40 and 54 is great though IMO.

Here is a good channel listing for XM.
I decided to just copy and paste for some of you that are interested....

XM Radio is also 100% Commercial Free! You have to subscribe to it, but it's only under $10 a month, which is slightly more than your typical porn magazine! In other words, it ain't much. You probably have $10 worth of change in your couch. Of course you have to buy the units, which range from between $100 to $200 and can be purchased at Best Buy or other places like that. You can also purchase Home Receivers, which are like kick-ass boom boxes so you can listen to it in your home or office! So no matter where you are, you can be hooked up. Another cool thing is the units always tell you what song you're listening too.

The Rush 420 kicked some major A$$!!!

I haven't listened to commercial radio since I first purchased satellite, and I don't miss it one bit.

My brother called me this morning to ask me if 106.7 (a NOLA station) had a new morning show. I asked him what happened to Rod Ryan ( a local DJ ) He told me that R.Ryan hasn't been on for almost a year!!!! Ha!

Once you make the switch to satellite, you will never listen to AM/FM again......and with all of the commercials, the same songlist repeated over and over again, and way too much DJ chatter that's on commercial radio...that's a GREAT thing!!!

I'm getting a little disappointed in my XM.
They took off my XM Live, they only have 2 college conferences for the football, and they don't carry the NFL.

I'm starting to look at Sirius Radio.

Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE my XM. It's better than any other regular radio, but Sirius is coming on VERY strong.

True. I have a friend with Sirius and I like the programming on that better than XM. Unfortunately, my car stereo is an Alpine, which only accepts XM.

I agree....

I've had XM for a month and may take it back. I can't believe I couldnt get the Georgia Auburn game yesterday.

They have got to get NFL games to compete.

I havnt heard Sirius yet but the programming appears to be better for what I'm looking for.

I saw that and got excited at first.
I haven't done too much research, but I "think" the walkman is not going to be "real time".
In other words, I think you have to download up to 5 hours of XM radio and then you can take it out.

I like "real time" listening.

I hope I'm wrong about this.
I need to look into it.

Hey, I'm looking at getting XM or Sirius for Christmas. I have to check to see if my new Toyota 4Runner JBL Premium stereo accepts either one. How bout some pros and cons on the two. What is the equipment costs, monthly fees, etc. I like a lot of different types of music: Classic rock, alternative rock, blues rock, Southern rock, latin, reggae, ska, classical, opera, comedy, etc.

Should we set up a poll?
