Yep....10 strings. 6 on the top headstock, and 4 more tuners in the body. Guess they were light years before the 7-string models that came out a year or so ago......
Ok....not to sound dumb, but what is the tuning(notes) for the extra 4?

A 10 string isn't quite like a 7 string that has an "extra" string with it's own tuning (low B usually). A 10 string is like a 12 string, but without the low E and A strings having their octave strings. The D, G, B, and high E strings have their octave strings (D and G) and matched strings (B and high E doubled strings are same pitch), but the low E and A strings are not doubled. This gives you the fullness of a 12 string guitar for open chord work, and the freedom of a more rock sound on the same guitar by being able to do power chords on the E and A strings. It's kind of like trying to put a 6 string and 12 string guitar on the same neck, to give the versatility and freedom of both guitars all at once

Well done EVHFV! Just listen to some old Jefferson Starship. Paul Kantner used to use one all of the time. The intro to "Find Your Way Back" is an excellent example of a 10 string.

Yeah...that video is what I was thinking of as I wrote that post. I always remembered that video especially because of that guitar. Those things are awesome looking. I have a stencil to build a Rich Bich double neck. That's going to be one hell of a project, but I'm looking forward to it. It's gonna be sick!!!!!! Those old B.C.'s just rule!!!!!!!!!!

When Aerosmith plays on the 27th...I'll have to look close at Joe Perry's Red Bich. Can't remember if its a 10 or 6 string.
