I think he just turned 47 not 49. Although I could be mistaken. The World Almanac lists his DOB as 1/26/57. So does a few websites.

The way I see it, is that he hit rock bottom. He's had problem's in the past with drug and alcohol, but I think he bottomed out. Valarie was there to support him for all those years, and now she gave up, because he gave up. Perhaps his wake up call is happening. Hopes that VH will reunite with Sammy for one more stab at it. Who knows, in a year or 2 from now, when they are on tour, they may give Dave a call, as long as he can switch schedules with another Walmart greeter. Dave would be close to his stint in Vegas. It could happen, here's hoping it might.

Paul, that would be the only way to resurrect VH as we know it. Just getting Dave to behave himself and stop being an ass would be work in itself. Someone needs to talk to his doctor and put him on something.........something he is not taking.
