Didn't have any favorites(I know....I'm stuck in the past!), but the band that did "Stacie's Mom(?) sounded OK....real retro........

I have to say my favorite new band of 2003 is Long Island's own ON THE RISE. If you like bands like Sick of it All, Agnostic Front, H20 and all the old school New York Hardcore bands from the 80's and early 90's, you will like this band. They have a little bit of everything...songs are catchy as hell! Their album is called Burning Inside and its on Bridge 9 Records. If you are into this type of music, I recommend this band to you.

I like Audioslave as well, but I have to admit, I miss Rage Against the Machine....too bad Zack hasnt put out a CD over the years, all I hear is that "he is in the studio, the album is almost done" and guess what? It hasnt been released yet....

I really don't listen to radio anymore. The stores have it blasting before opening, and if it's not talk radio, it's stuff I don't recognize.

If I had to say a "new" one, I'd say "Evan Essence", if they're a new one in '03.

What other band do they resemble? What rock have you been hiding under? The supergroup of the 21st century, Chris Cornell and the former members of Rage Against The Machine. They have a sound all their own. No Linkin Park is old they already have 2 albums out.

Another one for me would be Joe Bonamassa. He may have been around earlier, but '03 was the year I found out about him (thanks Christine), so he was new to me!:)

I've seen him twice last year and hopefully he will come around some more this year.
