Phenominal Performance from the boys. This show had it all folks. Except a good recording from the soundboard. I call it "The Beach Ball Gig". It seemed funny that Brittany wanna bes, were dancing to Zebra. Over 2000 in attendance, would not be a false number. Left early, due to wife and son being tired. All in all, a very enjoyable show. The high life was hearing, Arabian, KK, Why, Free, & Light Of My Love, all on the same night. I think Why stole the night. I'm listening to the recording, via a mono source, and clipping. Without breaking out the 12 string, Randy ripped into Who's behind the door. Probably the night air had alot to do with it. I noticed during the drum solo in The La La Song, Randy was trying to retune his guitar, but grabbed another one and plugged in to finish the song.

Hey man! Where were you? My wife and I got there roughly 'round 6:30ish, got together with OU812 and I was all about getting our southern faction together for a pic!
Yepper, the boys were stellar in their performance, I was worried about a sbd but we figured you may have had that angle. Randy gave the thumbs up for airing it if you had it. (!)
I've got pics, a couple, we're just getting home and I'm still hyped.
I'll post them as soon as I download 'em, and I'll take the time now to thank OU812 and Mrs. OU812 for hanging out and letting us hang out, and RGF for the chit-chat and pix afterwards. It's been awhile since I got to do that.
There was a funny part in the set where Randy played the opening for "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" and we had a weird moment back there for a minute. Had to be there.
There was a slight variation in vocals for "Arabian," much better sounding in fact, but yepper "Why" and "KK" was up to very so beyond par (being the versions I'm used to hearing are nearly two years old). Whether it was the open air, the night crowd (you're right on the guess-timation there, ylee) or the karma, yes it was a great set and show.
So, I'm going to go munch now. Expecting the others to post in, you all should have good reports about tonight!

Hey Guys, wish we could have met up. Big Sun & I were there. The show was awesome! We took alot of pics. Did you stay for the encore? That was memorable, Randy belted out ZZ top, Queen, Led zep. Very cool. Can't wait until they come back, I'm ready for more!

I've never seen that many people at a show; it was like sardines. Randy's vocals really sound better now, than i remember them. I was video taping behind the board to the left. I had a young dude with me, and he was shocked. He's a creed, dve matthews, etc. type of dude, and he loved the show. It did seem like there was something in the air. I enjoyedd "tie your mama down" (queen), right after zz top; it looked like he surprsed the guys with that one. oh yeah, and the new stuff, wow! Where's the b.c. rich? complaints - alot of dumbasses who uses the crowd as a highway (they couldn't keep still), some drunk getting in my face tellin me about zebra in '75 (real close, like his mouth to my nose, pew!), and a few level problems, and losing guitar on who's behind the door. But, overall, i enjoyed it.

First of all i would like to say im dead . just got back from the saints game . I went to bed last night at 6:20 am and got up at 8:45 to go to the game. Last nights show was kick ass BIG j told me that by show time there were about 3000 people on the grounds. I could tell the band was more ready for this show then others ive seen in the past . The last time i saw Randy move alot on stage was back in 1983 after thay got there recored deal. Felix was from head to toe covered in sweat he looked like he just got out of the shower. Guys solo was great like always. I got to the show as the first song began and quickly went back behind the stage to get a good view. it was great because there were only about 20 of us mostly friends and family of the band. I had to wait untill randy started to play WHY so i could call MR BUNGLE AND HIS WIFE. After he got my message he showed up with his lovely wife and 2 kids. It was great being back stage because we ate and drank for free we had our own BUD TRUCK on the side of the stage so it was on. I did exactly what LESSPAULL would have done I grabed MR BUNGLE AND WE HIT THE BUD TRUCK the beer went down fast to fast i was stung at the end of the night. Back to the show after all the zebra tunes were over Randy kicked into some zz top and queen as well as zepp. the crowed went nutz Felix was jamming hard at the end of the night. After the show ended we hung out for about an hour and talked to the guys. To wrap up the night me my wife /eddie randy/ guy /and guys good looking girl friend Barbara went and had breakfast at a nice small restaurant to about 3:am thats about it . One thing i think yleek recorded the show i need to call him to see how good it came out.

I'm in the process of trying to enhance the sound a little. It appears that I was plugged into a mono plug, so I'm trying to re-record the show with my eq at home, that adds a 3d image, so it will sound better. Also, the volume was so high, that it chops sometimes. I should call this show "Zebra-In The Raw". Once I get it a little better, I send a few to Randy for his approval, then I WILL BROADCAST IT!!!!!!!!
As I Said Before (second half)
Wait Until The Summers Gone
When You Get There
Light Of My Love
Don't Walk Away
Can't Live Without
The La La Song
Who's Behind The Door (Electric Guitar with Accoustic sound)
The Angel's Are Calling
KK Is Hiding
Better Not Call
I know the show was alot longer, wife and kid were tired, sorry!
Stay Tuned, it may happen this weekend!!!!!!

I found out today that Zebra has already signed to play at next years Oyster Fest. I got this info from one of the planners of the fest. They were extremely happy with the band, the size of the crowd, and the fact that there were no problems.
He said that judging by the amount of beer sold that night, that there were about 3000 people in attendance.
In other words, Zebra rocks and so do their fans.
