Ok here's my review. The show was GREAT!!!

We had such an incredible time. Jiz wasn't Stephen Pearcy, but he definitely was a good replacement. We were in the front - right in front of Warren - man is that guy amazing. They played for like an hour which was a little disappointing, but it was Sunday no encores. The venue was VERY small - the place was full of people, but it certainly wasn't packed.

After the show the band hung out, the only person who didn't hang was Bobby which was very disappointing. I got a signed drumhead from him and the rest of the band signed it so that was pretty cool. I also got my pics taken with all the guys except for Blotz and StiX got some cool shots of the band.

Corabi was definitely a much needed addition - it's great that they have a rythm guitarist again. All the guys are just really nice and friendly. Robbie Crane - always full of energy and just the SWEETEST guy you can ever meet. If there were more dates again in this area - I would so go!

Can't remember the whole set list but let's see not in any order of how they did the songs...

Chain Reaction
City to City
Dance
Dirty Job
Round & Round
Walkin' the Dog
Nobody Rides for Free
You're in Love
Way Cool Jr.
Lay it Down
Mama Kin
Lack of Commincation
I'm Insane
Wanted Man
Back for More
Over the Edge

I think that's pretty close - I might be missing one or two songs.

I'll see if StiX can post a link for anyone's who's interested in checking out the pics!

Wow, Jizzy aint Stephen Pearcy huh? Very interesting...I personally always thought Jizzy was a great singer for Love/Hate and thought his singing blew Pearcy off the stage. But Stephen has a better stage presence...but I dont like the fact that Stephen is too into himself. I saw him when he toured for the 1st Arcade record at a club called Sparks in Deer Park, Long island and Stephen was such a d*ck that night, I wanted to knock him out! But anyways, I didnt get to see Ratt last week but I saw them summer 2002 as part of the Metal Edge Rockfest and thought Judas Priest and Ratt were the best bands of the night...Just my 2 cents though..

Btw, they shouldnt have played mama kin, they should have added Body Talk, Shame Shame Shame, or You Think You're Tough to the setlist. I can understand them doing Walkin the dog since that is on the 1st Ratt EP, but Mama Kin? (scratching my head...)

Awesome China and Stix! :)

Thats great that you guys got shots of the band along with autographs. I always liked RATT. I got to see Dokken a few years ago at a nearby pub, I was stinking drunk when I met Don Dokken. I told him to give me a big hug. Boy , did I feel like a fool the next morning.

Jim:

I totally agree with you about Stephen Pearcy - I think the guy is a total ******* without a doubt. Jizzy definitely has a great voice no doubt - I think you just get used to a band being what you've grown to know them as with all the same members etc. It's almost like Judas Priest with Ripper instead of Halford. It was Ratt but not quite! And I actually think Jizzy has better stage presence than Stephen. Stephen ****iness always showed no matter what he was or wasn't doing. Yea, Mama Kin over Shame, Shame, Shame or a few other songs - I didn't get it either. Walkin' the Dog I love!!! Ya know what was even stranger??? On the set list they didn't even have Lay It Down or You're In Love - they did them 'cuz they had extra time otherwise they wouldn't have - well maybe they would have for encores. Lay It Down it Blotz's fave song and You're In Love is mine - so I thought that was pretty cool. I wanna see them again - but it probably won't be until next year or something. When I was talking to Warren, he was vague about when they'd be back. I should mention to that it's great to have a rythm guitarist again - it was SO needed! John Corabi is SOOOOO nice!

I hear ya on the Priest/Ratt statement by saying its not the same without their original lead singers. I happen to prefer Halford over Ripper but I do think the Jugulator CD with Ripper is a really good album and I thought the live cd sounded good too. But I thought Demolition was a bad Cd except for maybe 4 songs. As far as ratt, I hope they can record an album with Jizzy someday...

John Corabi is a really cool guy, I met him in 99 when he toured with Union, which was his project with Bruce Kulick of Kiss. John didnt mind talking of his days with the Crue as I told him the 94 Crue album he did with them was one of the most underrated Crue albums ever and that they should have been able to play bigger shows at that time than they did...

I guess we shall see what happens with Ratt, I hope they record an album with JIzzy and hopefully its better than their 99 CD, which was ok, but not as good as their 80's material...

No EH, it was at the Brookhaven Amphitheatre in Farmingville, it occured in July of 2002. It was Judas Priest, Dokken, Warrant, Ratt, Firehouse, and LA Guns.
