Here is one for you guys...

My man and I were kicked back the other night and watching Zebra and Zep videos... People like to comment on Randy's influence from Plant... however... I see a few things, but we are curious as to your opinions..

Plant was was a natural crooner / screemer.. Randy is more refined though passionate.

page is sexy/sloppy... Randy even with a sassy slide still states a well disciplined hand.

I wanna hear what you all think!

Page and Plant set the bar; Randy however pushes it because he has mastered both guitar and vocals. I would even say that his vocal range is greater than Plants. What is even cooler is he can be both at any given time when the guys are performing Zep. As far as his guitar playing is concerned; there are very few Rock guitarists that have the ability to cover the entire neck of the guitar in the way Randy does from a chord structure point of view. His lead skills are just mind blowing as well. However there would be no Zebra if it weren't for Zep.

Yea, but how many people know this...

You always see the same names when it comes to listing the greatest guitarists...Page, Beck, Clapton, Hendrix, Van Halen, Vai, Satriani, and so on...

Other than on this website, very rarely do you see Jackson included.

Help me out as my name shows up all over the place praising Zebra. Too many people know me!

Each you go out and pick up a copy of these mags:

Guitar Player
Guitar for the Practicing Musician
Guitar One

Write a letter to the editor! Yell that we would like a piece done on Randy,

My guitarits sits in front of the tube with his mug glued to the screen trying to figure out Randy's Licks. Sure would be nice to see some Randy Tab and some licks laid out for studying guitarists in these mags!

May be I will suggest this on the board... I think I will;)

I'm not a guitarist, but a music lover.

With that said, I prefer to take the Lead out.

Led Zeppelin. I am sure all the members of Zebra would agree with me.

I'm kinda with Fingers from the Downtown Vibe show(s). It used to be Zebra. The Led Zeppelin cover band. Now, it's Zebra. Zebra music!

Led Zeppelin's been played so much over the last 30 years, that it's kind of like a test pattern over the radio to me. Mostly, it's the same few songs all the time.

I've said before that Zebra has so much original music, that I wish they wouldn't do any Zeppelin covers anymore. I wish they would do 2 or more sets of nothing but Zebra tunes. When I go see Zebra, I go to see and hear nothing else but Zebra! I love those guys!

Zeppelin was the architect.....Zebra refined and in some ways...redefined it. I've NEVER seen anybody do a solo on Heartbreaker better than Randy when he does the neck run BOTH up and down. Besides.....Page looks like he's struggling....Randy is effortless. Despite seeing Zebra play for 23 years...I'm still blown away......

Many years ago....Randy's dexterity(along with the tightness of the band) is what got me hooked.
