I've got a 46-28 record straight up (.622). I'm doing better than some of these "Football Experts" out there. I don't look at who looks better on paper. They can use the paper to wipe their ass with. I go with the hungry team, the one that needs to be on top of their game. My sleeper pick this week, and it's way out there, Oakland to loose to the Rams. Trust me, I hate the Rams more than anybody, and would love to see them lose 6 straight, but that's my upset of the week. Here are my picks for week 6:

Steelers, Panthers, Bills, Colts, Vikings, Packers, Giants, Saints, Bucs, Jaguars, Rams, Chargers, Broncos, Seahawks.

I'm 45-29 in my company football pool picking against the spread. Football experts can track it all they like because there's Modus Tollens/Modus Pollens in fottball logic.

For example:
TEAM A beat TEAM B by 30 points two weeks ago.
TEAM A beat TEAM B by 30 points two weeks ago.
TEAM C beat TEAM A by 30 points last week
Therefore TEAM C should have no problem whooping TEAM B's ass this week????

Doesn't happen that way. For some reason there's more to it then just: Home Field Advantage, Player for Player Matchup, Momentum, Statisics so on and so on. If anybody ever finds out be sure to let me know.

I personally think luck has a lot to do with it.

Mark, luck has more to do with it then the game itself. On paper, the Saints should have blown Detriot out of the water, 2 weeks ago. Last week, the Jags ate the Eagles for lunch. The Eagles, who are 3-2, and 2 loses are by AFC teams. AFC is the strength this year, right now, but I believe the NFC will begin to move forward. Much to be said for the Saints, the Bucs, and the Eagles. Green Bay will be in the hunt, possibly the Giants, and maybe the 49ers. Theres my 6 pick for playoffs.

As funny as this may sound, the Saints show the most interest in going to the big game. But we all know that rule about hell freezing over and all. I better head out to Walmart and pick up some more long sleeve shirts and thermal underware.

I'll agree to them picks Yleeikote. But look what happened to them kick ass strong Yankees that everyone predicted to go all the way. Anything can happen. Thats what gives us odds.

If the Seattle Seahawks defeat the San Francisco 49'ers on Monday Night Football, in which I believe they will, next weeks game between the Seahawks and Rams should be quite interesting in St. Louis. But let's worry about tonight's game first.

Mike, I like seattle's chances tonight. Alexander should have a decent night, not as outstanding as last game (5 td's). 49ers are struggling, they are not as dominate as they were a few years ago. My upset special came through, along with about 8 others.

One gripe though, I hate the article Theismann wrote about who is the NFC's best team, when he said the Eagles, "BUT", 3 other teams that surpised him was Green Bay, Tampa Bay, & the Saints. But continued to say that New Orleans needs to concentrate in the red zone to become a dominate team. I was fuming. I wanted to write him back and tell him "Hey genious, the number 1 following the number 5 in the win loss catagory, for the 2 Bay teams are complements of the Saints. Second, I don't see Tampa lighting up the scoreboard on offense, they are playing great defense, which is helping them win games. Green Bay has fire power on offense, and lacks a little on defense. The Saints stand far better than those 2 teams. Just because of Jon Gruden, doesn't make you number 1. Get off the bandwagon, it's starting to tip over guys. They are just waiting for the Saints to self destruct, just so they can say, we told you so. When it finally hits them in the eyes, is when Tampa comes here for the Sunday night game, and gets their ass handed to them, I would pay money for Theismann to say that live on camera. That New Orleans is not the team of the NFC, that they are tied with 3 other teams, bullshit. Our entire team did there job. Our defense got the ball back, our offense may have sputtered, but got points, and forget about our special teams, a kickoff and punt return for td. The game is whoever has the most points after 60 minutes, is declared the winner, Joe. You don't get bonus points for looking pretty.

The Joe Horn special.........Ssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh

If the Saints struggle in one part of the team the other two parts pick it up which helps with team chemistry. Brooks has some excellant weapons on offense and I hope Stallworth is able to come back this upcoming Sunday against the '49er's. The defense is playing just a like a strong unit just like in 2000. Their special teams are running on all cylinders which can be scary for their opponents.

The Eagles are currently in my opinion "One Dimensional" on offense. Yes they are winning but the team cannot rely on Donavan McNabb through out the whole season. Yes I know that the receivers are doing their part when he throws the ball, but the focus will be on him unless Deuce Staley starts doing what he is capable of doing which is running the ball.

Tampa Bay is still winning on defense and you are right about the Jon Gruden bandwagon. Jon did a good job with the Raiders offense when he was there but it seems that Tampa's offense is just going through the motions which can come back and bit them in the ass. If I'm not mistaken the Saints "Red Zone" is better than the Buccaneers "Red Zone." I don't think Tampa Bay can rely on their defense through out the year like Baltimore did in 2001 when they won the Super Bowl. If Tampa wants to go further their offense will need to get into the end zone and not rely on field goals.

Green Bay doesn't really surprise me at all because of the play of Brett Favre. It seems that whoever are his receivers that they are on the same page. But their defense and special teams are somewhat suspect to big plays. Mostly the defense in which they need to do a better job at getting to the quarterback like they did to New England. If they can do that then they just may be a hard team to beat.

Now let's cheer for the Seattle Seahawks to beat the San Francisco '49er's tonight!!

all 3 teams will be in the play offs so out of all 3 who will go the big dance . who has the strongest team in all around.

When you look at football, you got to look at depth. The rams for example. Warner's out, who do you have that can throw the ball 40+ yards w/ accuracy. Bulger did fine, but didn't air it out like Warner does. Who's behind McNabb? Problem if he goes out, and he will, who is going to fill he shoes, exactly. When he is rushing for more than 50 yards a game, the next guy needs to do the same, or you have a loss. Teams struggle, when a QB leads a team, and he goes down. Brooks can go down, we have a great backup. Brooks is not doing anything but reading defenses and not doing stupid plays. But when you rely on your QB, like McNabb, Culpepper, Warner, your going to lose not only leadership, but a huge playmaker. The only problem with some coaches, they don't know how to judge talent. I don't think Gruden is a good judge for talent. The offense only added Pittman, and cut Dunn. Dunn is far more effective than Pittman right now. McCardell is not showing me anything special. Keyshawn "Throw-me-the-mother-f'n-ball" Johnson is washed up. Brad and Rob Johnsons need to retire. Alstott is only used in the second half of the game. Basically, if you score a lot of points in the first half, you will win the game, like the Saints did.

I'm rooting for the Seahawks for 2 reasons: 1 is I hate the 49ers, and hope that you knock out Garcia and maybe Terrell. The second reason is I have Shaun Alexander on my fantasy league, and the guy I'm playing against has Garcia and Cortez.

The road to the Super Bowl goes right through Green Bay Wisc. and a guy named Favre. The outcome would be quite different in the frozen tundra than in week 2.(In my humble opinion)

Doc, but we have the point advantage over you guys, if our records stay the same. We are not entering this as a wildcard, we'll get home field throughout. We're looking for the bye week. Your defense is a little weak right now, hope in can hold it together. Green Bay is a great team, I'll give you that much. New Orleans has some surprises this year, and people are looking out there window to say, "was that the Saints that just kicked our ass?" Once we beat the 9ers this week, T. Owens will be pulling his pen out for everyone to autograph his cast. The week we get our say, will be the home game against the Bucs on Sunday night. With no loses until then, the bandwagon will tilt, with everyone hoping on board.

Mr Super Genius.

A quick look at the packer schedule shows that the toughest part of their schedule is over. A very realistic finish is 13-3 which hopefully will give us home field throughout. I do hope you beat up on the niners and shove that pen up Owens ass.

Doc, beg to differ. The Packers season is just getting harder. With Farve hurt until further notice, a home game on Monday night against Miami may be a tough game. Then skip Detriot, then 2 road games, the Vikes and the Bucs, then home for Chicago & the Vikes, then to candlestick for 49ers, then back home to face Buffalo. Your getting into late Nov, early Dec, against teams bidding for playoff runs. Especially Buffalo & Frisco, 2 very hungry teams. Chicago and Tampa will not be push overs either.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Mr. Coyote

Favre to start Monday night. I love them at home vs. the fish and Ray(use the force) Lucas. Yes the Bucs play us well and it's always a great game. The niners we have played well at home or on the road recently. The rest of our division is hapless. The Bills and Jets the last 2 games will be mailing it in by then. Our defense getting its starters back, the offense averaging 30 points a game in their last three. It all adds up to a 13-3 finish. That is of course if favre can keep to the legal dosage on the pain killers

OK, Sorry to say this because I'm Rutgers ALUMNI. Thats where Ray Lucas graduated. But he totally ****ed last week. He even admitted it himself (4 Ints 2 failed snaps leading to fumbles). Now he's going into Lambeau against Brett a couple Monday Nights from now (Bretts knee should be ok by then). As a GreenBay fan we are going to beat him up.
