They should have released LULLABYE when the Lennon/Beatles popularity was at its peak in the early 80's

mark
10-08-2002, 02:29 PM
They're original label would not be Atlantic!

And the original LA LA would be on the album not that truncated version.

Zebra would be obligated to play at our annual block Party every year!

GreggCo
10-08-2002, 02:44 PM
And would be forced to play Jersey!

To have them hit the stage at around 10:30 - 11:00 so I could actually make a show and not have to drive home at 4 a.m. because they hit the stage at 1:00 a.m. or later.

GREAT SCOTT if we time travel back to the past to get ZF healthy it might cause a reconcountion of the melodrama and that will cause the show to start alot later then it happend whitch means johnny race will not be able to attend because he would be to drunk.

Get NTL, Kashmir(yes, program the keyboard to play it!), Lullaby, original LaLa back in the setlist. Haven't heard NTL since they did it to plug the 2nd CD(album).

What I would change about Zebra:

1. Give Guy his hair back (and mine too.)
2. Bring back NTL.
3. Bring back the rigs of the 3.V tour (felix's) and Randy's guitars (part of his showmanship) The POD sounds good, but the amps sound better.)
4. Bring back the baby grand for Lulaby.
5. Bring back the keys on "When You Get There" (to me, that made the song much more dynamic.)
6. Randy: sing "summers gone" like the live album. (aaaawwweeee...yeah!)
7. Go back in time and kick Bon Jovi's butt (You're right, Tim, but I still love Summer's Gone.)
8. More Boobs at the concert. (boobs, where are the boobs?)
9. Headline bigger gigs.
10. Some theatrical effects or historical videos for the stage set also a bigger stage show. Maybe a spinning drum cage for Guy's Solo, light-up guitars, smoke...etc.

That's too funny...I'm just trying to picture Guy in a "Tommy Lee" type drum cage spinnin' around and Randy just cracking up at the whole thing......Then Felix bangs his head while doing his patented head move and on cue, in the middle of "When You Get There" he yelps out.."AAAWwwwwwww!"

RockinRob1970
05-05-2003, 01:05 PM
Yeah! :p , But it has to be something original like a blow-up zebra with confetti shooting out, or something. You know like "Eddie" at Iron Maden? How about a big door or something. Or, a drum riser, or just put the wireless stuff on for a few songs and run around the stage?

Don't get me wrong, I told people who expressed to me that they did not put on that exciting of a show: "What about the music?", "The music itself puts on a show in your mind....(ahh Fantasia...), No, but seriously, I used to like just going to the concert and stand there soaking up the chords and watching with my mouth hanging open, my first concert I teared it sounded so good. (couldn't get enough). But: There are some people who would like the band to try put on a show like the bigger bands to add a little visual excitement. Rebuttle: Ahhh On the other hand, some bands HAVE to do that because they are not as talented and depend on that for part of their success.

banterman
05-05-2003, 05:03 PM
i can so live without an elaborate stage show, especially considering the venues they play. Good bands don't need gimmicks. That's for glam bands like Motley Crue whose songs aren't on the level of Randy's. Zebra comes out every time and kicks ass with their music alone. Keep the inflatable zebras at home!

4. Bring back the baby grand for Lulaby(as said by Rockin Rob)

As I remember, an electric piano was on stage for Randy to play until the middle 8 when he switched to guitar to finish the song. At least that's how it was done the few times I've seen Zebra do it live(back in the 80's to plus the NTL album).

macca
05-05-2003, 05:15 PM
oops....plug not plus......

RockinRob1970
05-05-2003, 09:23 PM
Well, I'd settle for the Guitars and special effects. I'm not (really) into the gimmics of Motley Crue, I like the classic rock stage shows of the 70's and 80's: Lights, smoke, special audio effects, and hip clothes, etc.
