Funnel Cloud Touches Down in Sugar Creek Subdivision
A passerby traveling on the Southwest Freeway called our communication center around 9:30 a.m. this morning (October 9) to report seeing a funnel cloud in the area of the Sugar Creek Subdivision in Sugar Land.
The funnel cloud touched down and damaged the Fort Bend Baptist Academy Middle School located at 13303 SW Freeway, a building behind the school and a home located in the 2900 block of Country Club Boulevard in the Sugar Creek Subdivision.
There are not any reports of anyone being physically hurt at this time.

I'm still checking to see if I made it through the F-0 tornado that landed 1/4 mile from my house.
I'll get back to you when I see if I'm ok.

Yea, dem BOYS have beaten a couple of teams up there in the Meadowlands, huh? Not a Cowboys fan, so no real big deal for me. We'll see what they can do (or can not do) against the Eagles this weekend.

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff--they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
my whole life long.

Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God’s love commits me here;
Watch over me throughout the night,
keep me safe within your sight.

O God, Master of this passing world, hear the humble voices of your children. The Sea of Galilee obeyed your order and returned to its former quietude; you are still the Master of land and sea. We live in the shadow of a danger over which we have no control. The Gulf, like a provoked and angry giant, can awake from its seeming lethargy, overstep its conventional boundaries, invade our land and spread chaos and disaster. During this hurricane season, we turn to You, O loving Father. Spare us from past tragedies whose memories are still so vivid and whose wounds seem to refuse to heal with the passing of time. Lord Jesus, we plead with you, to spare us from the calamities common to this area and animated with a true spirit of gratitude, we will walk in the footsteps of your Diviness to reach the heavenly Jerusalem where a storm-less eternity awaits us. Amen.

If you put your finger over his eyes, it looks like a young Roger Dultrey.
